We've eclipsed my win total prediction for the year already yet I still can't say for certain we don't have a realistic chance with anyone left ahead of us, this season has been unlike any other I can recall ever, in an eerie sort of good way

I predicted 7 wins, and I am going to look foolish.

How do I feel about looking foolish?

I know exactly what you mean, i feared this Purdue game, hence me not posting any predictions i dont want that bad karma. I thought it would be close just based on the way we play. We only ever seem to do enough to get the job done regardless of opponent. Its just how much we need to do to win that we get by. Reminds me of highschool, having the talent to exceed all expectations, yet only doing enough to get by... aggravating to say the least.

I never thought too much of the score last week but they brought it up in the final minutes of the 4th today, the only relevant thing they said as it were

7-0 against shit teams, If they were 7-0 against with a few W's against good teams I would believe. We will see the real capabilities of team on rest of season when they play some talent.

There will always be people bitching. Just the nature of Nebraska football. Last year it was "can't we just get one play to go our way and win these games?" and now it's "yeah we won, but it looked terrible."

We're 7-0 and I'm thrilled.

When a team/fan base complains about not playing 4 quarters of football, it usually refers to not finishing. Yes we are finishing but it is too sketchy to think we can keep waiting until the 4th quarter to be good. If we at least had been playing 3rd and 4th the way we have played 4th i would be much happier...My personal take on this

Was it a complete beat down no, but people want to beat Nebraska it's a good win no matter how good we are. Beating a number 8 undefeated Nebraska team at home with the first time head coach those kids were playing tough those Maryland guys Nebraska I think we just played down to him we gotta realize or the big guys now or the bully.

I heard from Kirk Herbstreit today and the announcer of our game that they predict Wisconsin to go undefeated the rest of the season and B either Ohio State or Michigan in the Big Ten championship game we are getting no respect so I agree we need to come out and kick the teeth down Wisconsin's throat. Nobody should be complaining about being 7 and out

We are literally the #1 fourth quarter team in the country.

Heard it today on the radio. We have a bigger scoring margin than any team in the country.

Of course, Bama is usually up 7 scores by the 3rd quarter so they put in their backups and give up garbage points in the 4th, but still. The more this team takes on that identity of a team that finishes down the stretch, the more they win.

We won't be know kicking Wisconsin's teeth in up front. That is for damn sure. They have the best Front 7 in the country and we are extremely average up front in the running game right now with the way we're dinged up.

In order for Nebraska to win that game, we're gonna have to set up the run with the passing game. We need Westerkamp and/or Cethan back.

We can't be afraid to run the ball right at them though. Wilbon need to get carries. Three RB rotation. With westy and Carter we are a while nother animal. I was really thinking that Iowa was going to beat Wisconsin. Iowa played harder in my opinion

We definitely need to run, but we have to be smart about it against a front like that.

Today we went against the 124th ranked rush Defense in the country and we didn't exactly shove it down their throat. In fact, they took it to us on a handful of plays, which is very concerning.

I think Tommy will have to be at his best in order to set up the run with his arm.

That's why I think we need to run right at Wisconsin. Right at Watt IMO. Wear that motherfucker out. With newby zigbo and wilbon. Then play action to westy on deep routes. Carter and DPE on slants. Just how I'd call the game
