Yes is from that wall crash last week.
Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig will miss Sunday's game with a hip injury, the Los Angeles Times reports. Puig has been dealing with the injury since June 3 but was forced to leave the game Saturday due to the injury. He is expected to return to the lineup following the All-Star break but the hip will likely keep him out of consideration as an injury replacement.
Now I see why the decision for McCann.
As stupid as the AS game is, it does determine home field advantage.
The majority of WS winners have come from the league that has home field advantage for a decade and more.
That's something you don't play with. An extra catcher was a wiser addition to the team than another outfielder.
It won't stop butt hurt children from whining about Pig, though.
I see nothing wrong with itDon't get me started on the stupidity of the all star game deciding home field advantage.

Martin's been ice cold for a few weeks now. He's been great defensively and handling the staff, but he doesn't have an All-Star bat over the first half of the season. There was a time when he did, but his slump has really dropped his numbers.

Pig has been playing for about 5 minutes. It would've been a joke if he had made the AS team...and that's really something since the whole spectacle is already a joke.
I can see both sides of this and I think that the issue is baseball's "unwritten rules"!!
If there is an "unwritten rule" that a player has to play X number of games to be considered eligible for the All-Star game, then make it a written rule and all of this stuff about Puig goes away!! I have zero problem with placing a "minimum games" restriction on All-Star eligibility.
If it is going to remain an "unwritten rule"......!
Wow. Convoluted.
It has nothing to do with written or unwritten rules. Just common sense.
He seems to be an amazing talent, but only somebody with ZERO common sense would think what he has played so far indicates anything at all.
