Gregg Bell said this morning the starting defense played 12 snaps of this preseason and gave up a net 12y (including penalties).

You can't get much from that, but at least it wasn't a disaster.

I liked how the defense covered the outlet passes. Very disciplined. If they can do that they will be pretty effective.

That was a dirty shot he took also. They know you are not supposed to do that. There is only ONE reason to do something that has been illegal now for a long time and thats to hurt the guy you are hitting. NO ONE teaches olineman to do that, NO ONE! He Dove for NO REASON at his legs. The Olineman wasn't tripped wasn't blocked he DOVE at the knees when he could have taken one more step ( thats it ) to go face to face.
