Has to serve a 5 game suspension and can't practice but can be at team facilities and work with coaches during this time.

I find this kinda ridiculous, why on Earth is he suspended 5 games? He wasn't even in the NFL when all this happened.

Why? That's bvllsh8t!! He didn't violate the NFL rules / conduct. Dub, that's like me running a red light in your hometown in Kansas and getting prosectued or pay a fine for it in Toronto, Canada.

Nevermind, I noticed your 2nd paragraph. Decided to write even before finishing reading your entire post...And you basically see the same line of reasoning. Totally bvllsh8t.

Pryor can't get a break lol... had he stayed at OSU, he was going to get suspended, now that he left, if he gets onto a team, he'll get suspended... geesh.

Didn't Goodell say something within the last few years along the lines of, not letting college athletes use the NFL as a way to escape punishment for when they do something like what Pryor did?

Then don't let him into the supp draft, IMO. Let him get under the microscope in the combine and pro days like everyone else.

What happens if someone doesn't get picked in the supplemental draft? Do they become rookie free-agents? Cause it seems like letting everyone know that they're drafting a suspended player, is only going to make his value drop even further. To the point where maybe nobody takes him.

Lucky for him he plays QB. I don't think this suspension actually hurts him that bad because unless a team wants to switch his position immediately. May drive his value down a little, but if a team really wants to stash him they'll take him. If he played another position like RB it would be a very different story.

I approve of him getting suspended by the NFL. There should be no workarounds for knuckleheads.

Question is, does he get taken? And for what round? And by who?

Then they need to go back and suspend Reggie Bush and the hundreds of other players who have taken gifts and money. They should go back and suspend guys who got arrested and in trouble on several occasions in college. What about guys like Vrabel who go unpunished for arrests? You cant just cherry pick and let others slide when you punish guys like pryor. Its complete bs.

Didnt Ohio State release him from his scholarship anyway? If so they its not an escape from punishment its one of the last options for him. I cant remember if it was ohio state or the ncaa who gave the 5 game suspension but even so he could have played ourside their ranks.

All and all its just another bs ruling from Goodell.

As in who will take him, my money is on either the Raiders, Redskins or a surprise choice in the Eagles.

I agree 100%. With all of the dirt coming out about Miami's program, Goodell needs to suspend Wilfork and company for the entire season.

Well, it's not like he would've played much in those 5 games regardless. Just the NFL trying to create the illusion that they are ruling with an iron first.

I'm thinking this is going to be the new lay of the land Dub. All those kinds of things will be dealt with stricter now.

That's a great point. I was considering it a bad thing as if he were a RB/WR or someone that could play right away. If anyone is picking up Pryor they aren't planning to start him week 1 at QB. A 5 week suspension shouldn't hurt his prospects at all since he's likely coming in to the NFL as a 3rd string QB.

We shall see, I have no faith in Goodell what so ever. Hes real good at the easy suspensions but lets others slide.
