I'd be psyched if they started televising the individual interviews. That would make the combine interesting.

I don't own a jersey, but now I'm going to go buy one just because I love to be hated.

heck, I'll buy 4, 2 little "AJ Green" jerseys the kids, "Atkin's for the wife" and a "Dalton" for myself.... and I don't even like Dalton that much, but he can make mince meat of crap defenses, and that will fool a lot of people.

Give your wife the Atkins jersey and there's nowhere you can hide.....:crutch:

Yeah, I'd like to watch the trainwreck interviews. Teo's interview I'd watch...but a bunch of guys in tights running 40's I do not find interesting (even though I'll know what they ran...I'm not going to watch them do it).

Plus, I think the combine feeds into the whole overanalyzing of players. Crappy players rise and vice versa. The best way to evaluate is the actual performance on the field.

Wow! Knile Davis runs a 4.37 Forty today at the Combine. That's insane! I know he's been injured the last two seasons but if he checks out medically, I wouldn't mind seeing him in stripes next season. He reminds me a lot of DeMarco Murray; a player that's productive but slips because of medical issues but one that can be productive on the next level when healthy.

Production 1 2009: (13/1) - 33-163-4.9-4; 2010: (13/13) - 204-1,322-6.5-13; 2011: Medical redshirt; Career: 21 receptions-140-6.7-1

Height-Weight-Speed 1 Possesses prototypical height with adequate bulk. Elite top-end speed, especially for a bigger back.

Durability 4 Fractured his collarbone during his junior year of high school. Suffered an ankle injury during 2009 spring practice but played in all 26 games during his first two seasons at Arkansas (2009-10). In 2011, missed entire season after suffering a fractured left ankle during preseason scrimmage (Aug. 11).

Intangibles 1 Voted team captain in 2011. Strong work ethic. No off field issues to our knowledge. Passionate about game and willing to pay price. Worked overnight shifts at Whataburger in high school. Stepfather (Warren Morgan) passed away in 2009. Mother is Regina Gardner and biological father is Kevin Davis.
1 = EXCEPTIONAL2 = ABOVE AVERAGE3 = AVERAGE4 = BELOW AVERAGE5 = MARGINAL

Running Back Specific Traits

Competitiveness 3 Keeps in very good condition and shows good stamina late in games. Shows toughness and competitiveness as a blocker. Has improved mental toughness and is far better at bouncing back from mistakes than earlier in career. Generally hits the hole hard and runs hard but he does not churn out as many yards after contact as he should. Ball security us only decent and needs to improve. Must show more focus on covering ball up in traffic. Lost four fumbles in six games we studied during 2010 season, including two fumbles vs. Miss. State that nearly cost the Razorbacks the game.

Vision/Patience 2 Adequate-to-good natural run instincts. Will occasionally run up heels of offensive linemen but he should improve in that area with more experience. Seems to be more patient when working behind a FB. Natural when it comes to reading his lead blocker and making the proper cut off the iso-block. Shows good vision as an open-field runner, as well.

Agility/Acceleration 1 His game is built on speed. Shows good burst out of stance. He can take a quarter-count longer-than-ideal to gather before accelerating up field, but displays explosive burst once he gets headed north/south. Has quick feet and can be a slippery runner navigating through small spaces. Lateral agility is not elite but it is good. Shows ability to string multiple cuts together. A homerun hitter if he catches daylight.

Power/Balance 3 Attacks line of scrimmage on inside runs. Will lower his shoulder and look to deliver blow. Flashes good initial power and will bounce off some attempted arm tackles. But little bit of a narrow-based runner. Does not show great balance and not a natural at planting his foot in the ground and accelerating off the cut. Goes down a bit too easily at times. Doesn't always run with great pad level and doesn't drive legs enough. Must learn to run behind his pads and do a better job of churning out yards after initial contact.

Passing Game 2 Still developing route running skills but flashes soft hands and has been mostly reliable as a pass catcher to date. Is a legitimate big-play threat when he catches the ball in some space. Has developed into a solid pass blocker. Is aggressive and physical. Shows good initial pop at the point of attack and has enough size to anchor versus the blitz. Gets set with a wide base and uses good leverage t the point of attack. Mixes in effective cut blocks as well.

As for Davis, he's still probably a 4th round pick at best. His performance doesn't erase the injuries and fumble problems. It will make a lot of guys go back to look at his tape. Helped himself as much as anybody today. Exactly what the combine is for.

Arguing over the draft is basically pissing in the wind.... August is going to get a few right and a few wrong. Tubbs is going to get a few right and get a few wrong.

Nothing wrong with enjoying draft 'evaluation' if that is your thing.... Sort of silly to get all hot and bothered about it.

Even the dudes that get paid 6 figures to talk about the draft generally have at least 3 or 4 horrible, embarrassing moments per season.

I would most definitely take a flyer on Davis with pick 2b with the combine numbers he is putting up. He has a top RB prospect until he decided to start fumbling the ball all over the field and a couple injuries set in.

But with 4.37 speed (second fastest among RB's), 31 bench presses (second most behind a FB), 6'0" 220 pounds, he is a damn wrecking ball with speed out there.

You can't protect injury prone, but you can fix the fumbling issues. You can't teach, size and speed along with natural strength.

I was not real high on Davis either, and I don't usually let the combine sway my opinion so much, but seriously, kid is a runaway freight train.

Grab him in the :second: !!

Where is Tubbs? There's not nearly enough name calling in this thread.

2nd round is way too early. You can still pick him in the 3rd easily if he's your guy, and very possibly in the 4th.

You may be right, but I think his combine has shot him up the board. You just do not find that rare combination of speed and power (that speed and that power) in the same package. He is literally a wrecking ball out there. Size, speed and power. He considerably helped himself with the combine.

Before the combine, he would have probably been lucky to get drafted, more less near 2nd to 3 rd round considerations.

However, with his past track record, that could still hold him back, so maybe the bottom 3rd where we pick may be enough to nab him still.

Doubt he falls to 4th. Teams will hope they're getting a Doug Martin guy and take a shot earlier than that.
