Can honestly say I've never had issues with visiting fans, did get lots of grief in Columbus, but frankly we outnumbered the Cbus fans at that time.

I will be the 1st to admit that a lot of Flyers fans really suck. Visiting fans that come in and start shit get it back 10 fold. I was at the Winter Classic and wearing my Giroux jersey. My buddy and I are walking around and 3 young 20 year old Flyers fans are yelling and giving shit to some 80 year old man and his 60 year old son who were wearing Rangers Jerseys. My buddy and I went over and told the other Flyers fans to take a walk. I was 45 at the time and 5-10 170 lbs. My friend is 5-9 180 lbs. Both the father and son kept thanking us and we ended up having a beer with them.

I have been to multiple Eagles games, a couple Flyers game, and a Phillies game and that was the only time I had fried foods thrown at me. I wasn't trying to say all Flyer fans were like that.

Let me summarize what Comeds is trying to say - all Flyers' fans are like that.

The Flyer fans at the Ranger games are a mess. But most at the Garden tend to be. No one drives, everyone takes the train and what do we do on the train? We drink. A nice 90 minute train ride from Philly, a few adult beverages, a couple at the bar in Penn station or any of the 200 bars in a 5 block radius, a few beers in the Garden waiting for the game to start and it's off to the races.

Never gets old. Domi's kid is playing in the Jr's right now. I wonder if he can throw like his dad?

Max Domi has some pretty sweet mitts, the last thing you want him doing is chucking the knuckles.

One of my favorite sports memories is of Flyers fans. At a preseason game in Hershey as we made our way to our seats we paused to look around for a second and felt something hitting our back. A grown man, woman, and a boy and girl around 7ish all wearing Flyer jerseys were throwing french fries at us. I guess we were not moving fast enough for them and were stopping them from watching nothing going on as the game had not started.

I'm misting up now thinking of how special that was. Its nice to teach the kids so young.

I have almost recovered from the time when I wore a Senators Jersey to the 419 penalty minute affair in the FU Center several years. I managed to type all of that without twitching.

I've never seen a group of guys let go of somebody so fast.

We're hardcore! We stick together! We could get thrown out? FUCK HIM!

Can honestly say I've never had issues with visiting fans, did get lots of grief in Columbus, but frankly we outnumbered the Cbus fans at that time.

Probably still do, but it's understandable - given the choice between seeing a game in a rusty old shack where you might encounter Jean Claude Van Damme in a Penguin costume, or going to a first world city to see a game...

Comeds should consider himself lucky, if it was in Pittsburgh, there would have been a sandwich attached to those fries.
