"I don't know anything about baseball but I have all these ingenious ideas about how to make it better!"

Leave baseball alone, except for doing away with interleague games.

I agree, and while we are at it, remove bunting, stealing home, balks, stolen bases and being able to run on a foul ball catch. Oh and re use dirty balls, I'm tired of seeing some kid run up to the umpire every 5 min.

Edit: Would like to take a moment to rephrase the "dirty balls" section above. There must be a better way to state this but it alludes me at this moment.

I think MLB should keep the pickoff move, but instill the kickball rule of being able to throw the batted ball at a runner and if you hit him before he reaches desired bag, he's out.

i don't know what instigated this, but i like to promote real discussion. my only problem with lefties is that the umps let them get away with movement towards home before throwing it to first. that front leg should have to go straight at 1B or it should be a balk.

Post made: October 20. Same night as Lester giving up 2 steals, because he can't learn how to throw to first, and Chapman gives up one because he rarely has to worry about it.

Case closed, stupid proposal. What does changing the rule do for anyone?

Why not just get rid of all lefties. Not just in baseball, but in life. It is unnatural and probably a sin. They should all be sent back to Catholic school where the Nuns can beat the shit out of their left hands with rulers until they learn to throw the right way.

Yes. This change would get rid of that issue altogether

Well. We'd see a few more steals than currently. And we'd get rid of the problem of lefties balk-throwing.

What does Lester have to do with any of this?

Is it weird that I found this to be the funniest part of the post?

Jon Lester can't throw to 1st and Jexas is a super-duper diehard lifelong Cubs fan.
If he HAD a good move to first by stepping off the rubber, then I'd want to hamper other pitchers. You're logic is completely backwards.

He has no move to first with or without stepping off. You are a clown that can't argue a simple point.

As positives of implementing this:
We'd prolly see a few more steals. We are in an era of epically few steals.
And we'd get rid of this bullshit:

Me too. And since he has no move on or off the rubber, he is s non factor in this discussion, you simple minded dunce who can't follow a logical point of even the most simplistic scale.

I don't think changing the rules will help Lester throw to first.

Okay so then change the way it is umpired. No more courtesy calls. It's 45 or it's a balk, extra umpire training in the off-season. Why get rid of the move? It's an advantage lefties have, but they're also easier to run a suicide squeeze on.
