Projecting the six best offenses in the NFL in 2015

GB #1....I can understand the optimism
Colts #2....I don't think so, Gore and Johnson will not make that much difference with their wear and tear.
Pitts #3....Could very well be #1, but at least #2 especially once Bell is back
Giants #4....Are you kidding me !!
Broncos #5....I don't see it, SD, Seattle, Cincy and B'more are more probable than them....
Cowboys #6...Really !!....This guy must be on crack, Boys,Giants, Colts, Broncos and ignored Seattle, etc..

Brilliant !!!! ...............:stephena:

Putting Denver on the list is definitely speculative. No one really has any idea how good or bad our offensive line will be or how compatible Manning will be with the new offense.

I would definitely include Indy in the Top 5.

This must have been written prior to some key O Line injuries. I don't see Denver or the Giants there and frankly don't think Indy will be there. They have done a piss poor job of building a supporting cast around Luck and bringing in two guys on the downside of their careers wont help.

How can Philly not be on that list? Would also add new England and either Minnesota or Atlanta.

Yes to the first 3 without much doubt

Giants??? Um, no. Just no. Not until I see it, anyway.

Broncos seems plausible to be in the top 6 until proven otherwise.

Cowboys? No Murray, no top flight offense.

This ain't my thread however here is a suggestion. If you are taking a team off the list, put one on.

Ok,

I'd insert SEA,while leaning towards SD, albeit tentatively, for the final spot based on a beefed up OL and Melvin Gordon.

1-3 rubber stamp

4. Sea
5. Den
6. SD

Not sure why this list should be such a surprise. All but one of these teams was in the top-7 from last year. The New York Giants were the only one that wasn't but I think somebody here is looking at the weapons they have with Odell entering his 2nd year and the return of Cruz from injury could give them the best 1-2 punch at receiver in the league.

As for the rest the Broncos were the #1 offense in NFL history without Clady so saying they are done for with him gone is not looking at the fact that Manning is one of the best in the league of making an average OL look pretty darn decent. They also added a coaching staff known for their OL play wherever they go. Manning is also healthy once again from his torn quad and even with the torn quad the Broncos still finished 2nd in points scored on offense only behind Green Bay.

Now me personally I would put Seattle in before I would the Giants as the addition of Jimmy Graham should help improve their goal line skills.

Why are people scratching their heads about the Cowboys? Even without Murray they are near the top of the league. Probably the best offensive line in the league, a top 10 QB, a top 3 receiver and 3 or 4 very reliable receiving targets.

I'll just take the top six from last year and let everybody "project" any other way.
Note: I'm a Pats homer but anybody that doesn't include the Patriots in the top six offensively??????

Southie I think with the Pats not being included it has to do with Brady possibly being suspended 4 games. There is a lot of unknown when it comes to that situation. Throw in then the RB group doesn't look all that scary. You usually hope if you have to lose your starting QB for a little while that you can rely on the running game but last year NE was middle of the pack and that was with Brady at QB making teams have to respect the pass. So again I can understand why somebody would leave them off. Not saying they won't finish in the top-6 as last time the Pats got hammered with Spy Gate the next year the offense came out and set quite a few records on offense (at least till the Broncos came along and then beat all of the Pats records) so I could see them playing with some extra fire and really proving quite a few wrong.

The Pats were not middle of the pack. They were 4th in league.
They were actually 1st in the league before they mailed in the last 2 games....

I was talking about the run game not the overall points per game. Yes points per game they were right there at the top of the league. Rushing wise though they finished 18th in the league in total rushing yards, 22nd in yards per carry, and had a very average OL last year that I wouldn't say they have done much to think it will be better than average.

Patriots scored 468 points last year, second only to Denver. Virtually everybody has returned on offense and we are getting some of our IR'd guys back. Our stable of running backs are more impressive that a casual observer might think. We have a running back on the bench who scored 202 yards in a game against a playoff bound team and he can't even get in the game?

I'm not saying they can't be good. One good game though doesn't mean continued success. Beyond all that though the biggest concern is that of Brady missing 4 games. When the most important position on the field is such an unknown it would be hard to put that team in the top-6. Again not saying they can't finish there and if I was a betting man I would put them there just stating why I think they don't have them in the top-6.

Fair enough.

I think the running game will be better this year. If we dump a few points in the first 2-4 games, it will be offset by a better running game and better O-line.
Some will point to the loss of Vereen and Ridley. Really?
Ridley wasn't missed last year.
Vereen has 1930 total combined yards in his 4 year career. Easily replaced......

Patriots should be top six no problem. Especially if you see a dip in defensive performance and actually NEED to score more points. That offense could put up a TON next year.

You're forgetting that last years D, created a lot of 3 and outs, turnovers that gave the O short field to score....
And with the 2 star players gone, they won't be the same D, you can bet the farm on that....
Brady will make his plays but he has to have some help from that D or it's all for naught.....
