Here is a question for eveyone. What if the Rangers make the playoffs and Murphy hits like crazy in them and then he gets the big hit that wins the world series. Under those circumstances whould you sign Murphy for next year. Just saying, I know it won't happen?

Not only do you not sign him...I lead the protest to keep he and Lance Berkman from getting rings.

During the HOU series got the feeling TEX was trying to show off a rejuvenated Murphy in hopes they sign him as a cheap FA 4-OFer since TEX will not offer him a QO. Nothing could be better than seeing him play for his hometown.

There is no question in my mind that Romeo takes the cash with this prediction. How could it be anything else?

thats a tough call. who had profar hitting that walkoff last night. murphy could do the same thing. but if i had money on it soft grounder to the 2nd baseman.

Profar is still a great talent. It didn't shock me that he did that. He's had a flair for the dramatic.

Nope. I'd let someone else overpay him and try to replace him with a guy who can hit all year long.

What I think will happen- strikeout looking on a pitch a foot outside in the Murphy Zone.

What I'd like to happen- a walk-off HR. Murphy is literally one of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet and he's tried like crazy to break out of this awful season-long rut. He even admits he's stunk it up. As a player I can't stand him. But as a person he deserves one last great moment.

Good thought. But a batter who is interfered with by the catcher ... gets 1b but doesn't get an AB. So his last AB wouldn't be an AB at all.

It could happen that way though ... I think Murphy leads the world in catcher's interference because of his long swing to get a pitch out there in the Murphy Zone.
