Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio reports the NFL salary cap will "at most be $183 million."
The floor is currently set at $180 million, and the final number should be announced very shortly with free agency quickly approaching. Each dollar counts with teams heading into the free agency period with less cap space than ever, but with TV deals on the table, the NFL should rebound quickly. Dak Prescott's front-loaded mega deal is a sign that the 2022 salary cap will be significantly higher than this year's. Free agents could opt for more one-year contracts in hopes of signing lucrative long-term deals after the salary cap climbs.
