Just got alerted about this a little bit ago. I can't even comprehend what's happening to this team. :L

Not good news at all. Was hoping Prince would have a great season down in Dallas. (Rangers also lost another player to facial fractures today.)

Not to mention profar being shutdown and probably being done for the year.

I hate to say it but somewhere Nolan Ryan is gutting a snow monkey with a smile on his face.

Please be 100% next year Fielder. Sick of this shit . We need to focus on being Ready next year. The injury bug has lingered for 3 years. Main priority needs to be health.

Hate to hear it.

He's always seemed like the kind of guy who's good for baseball. Never like seeing someone like him out of it.

I'm sure no one wants to hear this in late May, but I think the trade deadline might need to be firesale time for Texas if they are 10 or so back. Beltre(an all time favorite) would bring a haul, as he could be the difference for a team. Rios would have some value. Ogando. And as much as I hate to say it, possibly Yu. This would be where JD earns his money. He has to be right about whether Yu will resign here longterm or not. If Yu is not traded, and then walks in FA, JD should feel some serious heat. If Yu were traded, you could probably get the top young player and top 2-3 prospects from nearly any interested teams system. Hire a new Manager, rebuild around Andrus, Profar, Martin, Perez, Holland and what would again be the best farm system in the league

Trade a couple guys like rios? Sure. A fire sale? No fucking way. That sets us back 3-4 years from being legitimate contenders. So, no.

Can't say I didn't see this coming. Every minor injury this year has turned into something major. Anytime I hear someone is out for a game, seems it has followed up with something that is an extended DL stay.

This team is snakebitten this year, guess we get to play the role of spoiler. No firesales at the deadline, but anyone that we wouldn't expect to be back next year should be sold for young guys. maybe we can screw the Cubs over to recover some of the Garza raping.

Trading Yu is not an option, Beltre i see the merit but its still a bad idea as we have no in house candidates to replace him anytime soon and Gallo will not be a 3B when its all said and done, maybe Profar but he has to prove to be healthy and legit first

Don't really see Garza as a raping, Edwards and Olt (and this guy hits HRs and thats about it, with solid defense) were going no matter what, it comes down to Ramirez and Grimm, and neither has made that a raping yet

But, was it too much to give up for Garza? yes But in the end it was an issue of keeping Ramirez and/or Grimm

Edwards is the one I have an issue losing. IMO it was way way too much to give up for Garza. But, we were in a spot of need and Cubs got one over on us.

I'mjust tired of trading with the Cubs. Their pitchers are shit when they get here, so stop dealing for em.

When I heard about this and Profar yesterday, I just had to laugh. Not that the injuries or funny or that I am not concerned about the health of the players but at this point, as far as the season goes, that seems like all you can do. I mean there is no use being upset about it anymore. Also, when I heard it on the radio they said Profar re - injured himself while he was sleeping. I think surely they were joking but with this teams luck this year I wouldn't be shocked if it was true. Our players are safe no where.

Xx you should put you avatar mlb approved and sell some T-shirts. It should now be the official logo of the 2014 season.

Thats the price for a middle of the rotation ML pitcher though, Olt & Edwards makes sense then and even now, just b/c it didn't work out like we wanted doesn't change the cost

Grimm and Ramirez are what made it too much, one but not both

Edwards or Jackson were leaving and I'd have rather had Jackson, and I REALLY liked Edwards
