I see a 3-7 start if this is true
I dont like it either. If you aren't healthy going into December, you're done.
Sorry guys but I have to disagree... Division games mean a lot and as such should ALL be at the end of the season. Here are some reasons why IMO.Same thing last year with the Eagles and Cowboys. Why do they do this? Division games should be spread out
you are 100 % correctSorry guys but I have to disagree... Division games mean a lot and as such should ALL be at the end of the season. Here are some reasons why IMO.
1. Six games to determine the division champion and possible wildcard.
2. More interest in these games because they will determine fate. That's .35 percent of the schedule either way.
3. It's similar to the college basketball conference play in terms of interest, ticket sales, and regional support.
4. It literally strengthens interplay and heightens rivalries, all good for the league.
5. Now to your point @kbso83432, isn't that true anyway?
6. ...and to your point, @deanpet21, didn't those games actually go a long way in determining division champs?
I see a 3-7 start if this is true
The Eagles will pull us apart like warm bread.Philly Week 3. Week 10 At Philly Monday night Football. 2nd primetime game.
Got hit with the injury and covid bug with nothing but division games on deck. Division games count double because you are giving a team in your division a win when you lose to them. Two or three is cool, but five was too much imo.Sorry guys but I have to disagree... Division games mean a lot and as such should ALL be at the end of the season. Here are some reasons why IMO.

3. It's similar to the college basketball conference play in terms of interest, ticket sales, and regional support. To a lesser degree similar to the end of the college football season when you have Alabama vs SEC opponent or Ohio State vs Big 10 opponent et.al. to qualify for the postseason. People absolutely love this because of all factors already mentioned, and in #4 below.
4. It literally strengthens interplay and heightens rivalries, all good for the league.

I agree, but that was then and this is now. The pandemic isn't over but we know a lot more about handling it. Injuries are going to happen...next man up becomes a thing again.Got hit with the injury and covid bug with nothing but division games on deck. Division games count double because you are giving a team in your division a win when you lose to them. Two or three is cool, but five was too much imo.
I get it, really I do, you make valid points about this that I don't disagree with at all.No I get it. I'm 47. I remember when the NFC East won four SBs in a row. I just think five is overkill. I liked it better in the 80s and 90s when it was spaced out.
A huge game in Dallas maybe week two. A huge home Monday Night game around Halloween vs the Giants.
Then maybe a big game vs the Cardinals in late December at Busch Stadium. This five game gauntlet to decide the division is in a sense good because if you can stay within a game or two you control your own destiny.
However, I don't like the fact that if a team is decimated by injuries or covid, you are shit outta luck. You are about to rack up four or five division losses that you could have won a couple of had the games been spread out.
Well looks like I am right and dean is wrong , no prime time games with feccals or colts . Wince isn’t a draw
