Said in another thread I wouldn't be surprised if he led the team in yards. Watkins may put a wrinkle in that, but Kupp will be Goff's safety net and still could be the team leader. He catches just about everything thrown his way and his route running is sharp.

How was that hit on Cooper any different from the TD that was flagged? Cooper didn't even come down before he got a helmet in the chest.

That's an easy answer, Joyner shouldn't have been flagged and Las Vegas should have. Cooper didn't even get his feet down and there was helmet to helmet contact. They also missed a holding call earlier, the refs were clearly wearing Silver and Black goggles.

In two short games, and from what I have witnessed, Whitworth is worth every penny they paid to get him. What a very good FA signing that is/was. What he has done both for the LT position and this O-line is remarkable!

Not sure if this early success will lead to W's in the regular season because Del Rio wasn't doing anything special on defense with his No. 1's, but as long as we continue with this type of progress, we could have a very good season.

7-9 may sound like bull shit, but anything better than that means we are certainly playing with house money!

Also, very quietly, John Sullivan has sealed up the Center spot as I watched multiple times no one coming up the gut like the last sieve we had for a center. Two great O-line signings has nailed this O-line down!!

And of those early 3rd and short money downs, Gurley ran between Sullivan and Saffold for 2 first downs when the Raiders had 8 or 9 in the box. This was before we had any type of momentum outside of 2 short passes to Woods for about 9 yards each.

Regarding our offensive line, our only real concerns are depth, the Probowler LT's age, and RT Brown's lack of real talent. A short list compared to almost every year under Fisher.

I'm glad we hung on to Fisher because I think the timing of hiring McVay worked in our favor, but WOW do these early preseason games & wholesale personnel changes only magnify just how bad Fish actually was.

I'm glad we kept Snead, he is young and talented and I think he was challenged with getting players that fit into Fisherball.

Man the rear view mirror looks ugly, but the windshield has so much promise, and it is void of 'potential guys'. Thank GOD, we seem to have replaced them with 'performance guys' and I think we are on the right track! Absolutely!!

Yeah that is what I'm thinking. 7-9 would be great and 8-8 would show some real promise going forward.

After watching the fourth quarter replay on Youtube, Mannion had a great comeback drive at the end there for the win. His passes are crisp and right where they should be. I think they should keep Mannion and NOT trade him as some have suggested. Mannion just may win this job outright! BTW, the second tier of O-line provided great protection on that drive as only a safety blitz produced the only sack. Great job the second and third tier guys.
