Before the Colts game, Boss put together a thread predicting the Colts game. ksu and I were the only ones taking the Rams. Well that was in Indy and I took a bunch of flack about what I thought was a decent way of saying the Rams are better playing the Bears right now then the Lions. For the Colts game I said it was 3 is a charm, meaning the Rams should have beaten the Seahawks (stupid Shotts last play call on the 1)and easily should have beaten the Titans and again the Shotts last second fade lob at the goal line stopped the Rams. I also said the going into the bye, they would play hard and win and getting Austin involved was imperative. Now I had it 20-17 but the prediction was right. OK I am ready for a Bears prediction and why. Could be wrong of course but on paper it works for me in a close game.

1. Two weeks at home and a week of rest.
2. Stacy will drive through the Bears line for a over 100 yards and 2 TDs,
3. The Bears will put 7 and 8 in the box and Clemens will hit Austin or Givens again for a TD.
4. Grey the Leg will knock down 3 field goals.
5 Rams 30 points
6 Bears will also use Forte for a running TD and a receiving TD. (great back)
7 Rams hold Marshall and Jeffrey out of the end zone with 5 sacks by Quinn, Long and Langford .
8 Bears get a punt return for a score from the best punt returner in NFL history (Hester)
9 Gould gets 2 field goals
10 Bears 27

The 30-27 score might just be the best game of the day. Ok, now I have to live with that. Go Rams. might be :lame:but I am an old fool anyway.

The Bears are really banged up. I expect a big game and a win coming from the Rams

I actually think the Rams can win this won as well. At the most influential position there is no Cutler for the Bears so that makes the QB comparison more equal, which means its "My Darling Clementine" vs "The Renowin Clowin McCown. A wash there. Still think the Bears are a little more talented, but the Rams seem to have the momentum going their way right now. I think it will be a low scoring game though. I'll call it Rams 20-16.

Things definitely seem to be going the Rams way this week... us coming off a bye week, Bears banged up. Offense seems to be clicking.

I will say 27-17 Rams. Austin returns another punt for a TD and Stacy has 1 TD rushing. Here is my wildcard of the game. I am going to say Jared Cook gets the other TD from inside the red zone. Add on 2 Legatron FG and you have 27!!

I can see 27 points for the Rams...but holding the Bears to 17 would be the lowest point total to date against a team that is 3rd in the NFL at 28.2 ppg. Anything can happen, but I wouldnt say thats reasonable.

I think the Rams can win. That being said I'm worried about the Bears passing attack. Obviously they don't have Cutler going but Marshall and Jeffery are very physical receivers and Bennett is one of my favorite TE's in the league. The 3 of them combined help open a lot of opportunities for Forte. The Rams can score however so I'll take the Rams is a close game.

I see a very close game here...Of course usually when that happens the Rams lay a hard-boiled egg...(I hate hard-boiled eggs)...It just seems to be a bad omen when the Rams should have a good chance to pick up a needed victory...Still, I can't pick against them this week..At some point they are due to play well in a game that they have a good chance to win...This might as well be the time...GO RAMS!!!!!!!!!!!

The last 3 week have been 20,19,20... remember no Cutler means MUCH less offense. Our defense is playing it's BEST football all season right now and you know Chris is going to be pumped to beat his brother all day long...

I think we see Jared Cook make another appearance for a big stat line day off play action. It would help if he were a more willing blocker but Kendricks is still banged up. Quick will be on the field quite a bit, and Austin will get special treatment after last weeks explosion. He'll be more a threat on special teams as I doubt the Bears will let themselves get beat deep twice like the Colts did.

On defense Forte will have a good game - he always does against us. But McCown is a game manager, not a gunslinger. I'd be more worried about Cutler. Granted he's still better than Clemens.

But the Bears run defense is non-existent right now, and we should have success there keeping the weight of putting up huge numbers off of Clemens. Big day for our RBs, and Clemens has an efficient game because of that.

Can we contain their great athletes at WR? Not completely - but enough that our pass rush makes a difference.

24-20 Rams.

Well, it was 27 vs GB. With the o line improvement and more downfield targets, The drop off in play has been minimal. But if youre strictly going by points, I could say the Bears defense is improved with 20, 21,20 allowed in the last 3 weeks...but the reality is they still do the same things that make them vulnerable.
IOW- Im weighing in observed differences( if any). Its not just the points. YMMV.

Wow the bandwagon seems to be set,:suds: I agree with everything you guys have said, but with that said we always guard against expectations with the Rams, don't we?:L We have been here before.

If thats implying he isnt getting the ball downfield, youll be surprised to hear that McCown currently has a higher YPA than Cutler. He has 3 big targets to throw to. He can (and has) take chances downfield.

Dont get me wrong, If both QB's maximum abilities were put to test, Cutler has more playmaking ability. However, Josh has done a good job getting the ball downfield behind a line that continues to protect the QB well.

Sorry, not what I meant - I meant Cutler is one of the biggest arms in the league and a feared gunslinger, even though he doesn't always make great decisions and isn't the best leader you could ask for. Over the long haul I would certainly expect Cutler's YPA to be better than McCowns. For his career it certainly is. about a yard better, with a rating 11 points better and a better TD to Int ratio.

McCown is no spring chicken, and I'm happy he's having success (though start back up with that two weeks from now, thank you!), but of the 2 I'm definitely more worried about Cutler's downfield ability.

McCown has certainly to this point proven himself a better QB than our current QB, Clemens. But with the Bears massive injury woes at defense I think that won't be as big a factor as it would if both teams were healthy - the Rams have been trending upward in rushing, whereas the Bears are at the very bottom of the league because they've got half a dozen D starters with serious injuries.

I think the Rams are very lucky to be running into the Bears in this condition, and at home off a bye week we should win.

But who the hell knows with these kids - the only consistent thing they have is their inconsistency. :D

The difference is the Bears QB doesnt have to make nearly as plays on his own this year. A lower degree of difficulty at that position has certainly played its part in the limited drop off between 1st and 2nd string.

Agreed. You always look better with talent surrounding you! The Bears O is definitely improved and looks like a definite strength for the foreseeable future.

I wish I agreed with you guys but unfortunately I think Clemens true colors show up in this game. I think he'll try to do too much and will make too many mistakes that cost the Rams the Game. I see 2 INT's w/ one pick six. Austin has a good day and so does cook but the Rams can only muster up 17 points. The Bears score 27. Jenkins and Johnson play good until the 4th then all hell breaks loose.

Close game until the 4th.
Bears win 27 - 17

I say the Rams will win 27-24 on a late FG by Greg The Leg.

I haven't picked the Rams very often this year so lets hope I don't screw things up.

Do Not Like To Predict But

I have absolutely no idea what we will see from the Rams against the Bears. It seems when the Rams begin to look as though they have gotten to the corner and are just about to make it all the way around the wheels fall off and we it's back to rage! I liked what I saw against the Colts but again I don't know. I don't even know if I want them to try to go on a playoff run because we get so close and something happens. Torn is all I can say!
