You are right they didn't. But I've already heard Penn fans saying how the players need to win this one for Joe; which boggles the mind how they could support such a man who allows this to happen and then is part of the cover up.

oh well thats a little ridiculous. but at the same time, i kinda feel bad for the players in this situation, they are going to suffer because of something that they were not involved in, have no control over, or can even attempt to solve

cause at this point, the coaches are no longer a part of the team IMO. players always talk about how the team is a big family, well the PSU football family is now just the players and they should stick up for eachother, and only eachother at this point. they don't owe the coaching staff shit anymore, but they owe eachother a good season.

obviously this is a little irrational, but if i was one of the seniors on that team i would call a players only meeting and say "hey, the coaching staff has betrayed us, fuck them. we don't play for them anymore, we play for eachother, and you owe the guy next to you a win, so we are no longer playing for Joe, we are no longer playing for the fans, we are no longer playing for PSU, we are going out there saturday and playing for ourselves"

Very good points sir. I shall rep you. I heard sporting news had contacted a bunch of 2012 recruits and many were decommitting or opening up the process because they felt betrayed. It's still going to be a hell of distraction because if you have to have faith and trust in your coaches and if you don't trust them....well let's take a look at Callahan...

what sucks about this game is that if we come out and win, its gonna be "oh the poor players were distracted with all this going on", but if they win its going to be "oh look they came out and won this one for Joe".

when people hear the score they are going to think Penn State:___, that team they played:___.
