I guess I over estimated the Raiders, or under estimated the Skins Defense a little.

Its probably a bit of both. Carr is a good QB but he is not elite, yet. Last night we saw what happens to him when there is nothing there and he is pressured. He did what most QBs do in that situation. He floundered. This is not to say that he can't be effective, he just hit a brick wall. Our secondary blanketed those receivers. There was no one open and no where for Carr to escape. The vast majority of QBs in the NFL would have had similar games as Carr last night, including Cousins. The difference being that Cousins would have been pillared on this site and elsewhere if he had a game like Carr had. I don't hear anyone saying Carr isn't worth the contract he just signed......I guess I over estimated the Raiders, or under estimated the Skins Defense a little.![]()
I mean, doesn't this say a lot about football, this season and how each week a team can resurrect themselves. And my God, coach was actually correct however, it was done in sarcasm and dad couldn't have been anymore wrong. Great to be a REDSKIN fan this morning, HAIL!!!Thank God that you were wrong & amazingly Coach was right. HTTR. To heck w/ predictions - as they say "that is why they play the games". This isn't Madden football.
I think this game opened a lot of eyes to our fan base and the play by play scrutiny of Cousins & Co will start to dissipate moving forward. The "lame duck" thing may be in the back of minds since Cousins isn't signed long term but that also should quiet some.you after week one i tried to tell people one game does not make a season . the response was tank the season among other things and the KC bashing
2 straight wins are good and we beat a superbowl contender . in fact we are 2-0 against teams with winning records (eagles were 0-0 )
now dont get bent out of shape if we lose to the chiefs on the road . that is a tough game vs another playoff contender but you wait , if we lose KC will get lambasted
I wish and hope you are right, but as soon as KC has another off game (which he will), the ABCer's will be out in full force again. It will be game by game, sometimes even play by play.I think this game opened a lot of eyes to our fan base and the play by play scrutiny of Cousins & Co will start to dissipate moving forward. A win next week vs the Chiefs and all of this talks goes away imo. "If" we win next week, you may be surprised about what kind of talk starts to happen in Ashburn and around the league.Kirk will be under the microscope and have every play dissected until such time as he is either signed long term, or goes to another team.

HTTR!
Heck, we beat the NFL rankings #2 team this week. #1 awaits us...If we win at KC, the talk will be crazy.
