I can't imagine the 35 million tag. I also believe the transition tag will simply lead to a contract with language we can't match.

agreed, the best move at this point (if there's not going to be a new contract) is the non exclusive tag. No one will trade with this team for Kirk and that is the only way, given those parameters, that this team gets compensation.
