While there much to be said of valiant efforts…… in a league where wins and losses are paramount, such efforts, are as meaningful as one would be able to garner, in NFL style pyrrhic victories, when the injury bug makes it almost impossible to field enough able bodies to play the game.

This is the current dilemma that HC Jay Gruden and GM Bruce Allen find themselves having to overcome as this team flies across the country for a 4:05 EST kickoff against Seattle.

In the NFL there’s at least one consistent hard and fast rule….You play against the guys who are lined up against you. There are no asterisks for depleted troops, No exceptions, or exemptions, for the guys that were just a week or so ago employed elsewhere. There’s also no league mandated handicaps given as is done in golf because point spreads don't count in the official final score.

At the end of the day, it appears that all we’ll have to rely upon valiant efforts and pyrrhic victories as I see a one-sided 31-13 Seahawk victory. Monday morning water cooler talk…..Injuries and what could have been without them.

As for predictions

Seahawks 31-21. We have too many injuries to hang with this team on the road. If we make it through the game without Gruden looking in the stands for a fatguy to play on the O-line I will be amazed.

My prediction is UGLY!! I had the point spread right on the Iggles game. Don't even know here. We are going to be seriously undermanned on offense going against maybe the leagues best defense in a tough to play stadium.

What the hell. I'm going to buck common sense and say the Redskins win this game 28-24. The Plays of the game are 2 defensive TDs. Kerrigan with a strip sack and fumble recovery for TD and Josh Morgan with a 6 pick. I also see Josh Doctson with 7 receptions, 2 for TDs.
