I predict we implement an entirely different defense all in 1 week and it pays off dividends for us.......even against a pretty explosive offense like Arkansas State.

I also predict we will switch to the west coast offense next week.

And that is said with a heavy heart. I just can't get past that last game. I think that is the worst defense I have ever seen come out of Lincoln. And though I have blanked out most the Clownahan years I would say it was up with his.

We beat Arkansas State 51-31. We'll score at will and a home field advantage will bring enough of an emotional bump to our defense to stop Arky St enough. Also I see a special teams touchdown and 2 or 3 additional long returns to set up easy scores. No missed field goals and Rex can rest easy for the tough matchup with the Idaho State University!

Once again don't hate. I would have expected the Huskers to win if they stayed with the process and ran a 4-3 and didn't miss assignments/tackles. However with a 3-4 and most likely 2 freshman + Juco Anderson's first start at linebacker; Gus will run a heavy dose of play action which will suck those newbies in and they will get burned, lose confidence, and allow Gus to move the ball consistently.

It will be a bad day for Huskerland.

I hope I'm wrong.
