The problem with the playoffs Jimmy thing is its only a thing because of his nonchalant don't give a fuck approach to the game October through April. There is a reason we don't hear Playoffs Bron, Playoffs KD, Playoffs Steph, or etc because those guys take the regular season seriously
He's had plenty of time not playing and loafing this year lol. He's obviously motivated now to show Miami what they gave up, he is a major asset thus far the team looks totally different and much better with him.

Yeah this year he will take the regular season seriously or what's left of it. Next year I think he will go back to his not caring attitude until the playoffs. His inability to stay healthy/not caring about the regular season is one of the biggest reasons why Miami been a play-in team the last 2 seasons.

Jimmy playing this way and winning is good for the Heat though....Basically locks them in for 2 first round picks so I'm not mad at him caring about the regular season again lol

I have some faith that a new regime full of alphas with rings including the most unselfish superstar ever can get him to give these last couple years more effort. He's not going to suck all year next year, nothing wrong with saving something extra for the playoffs

With a lot of luck the next couple years might get them one more longshot title. Depends on things like Kuminga and so on. At least now I have something to root for, vs before the trade when they looked totally done. No one saw them winning again in 2022 after the prior 2 years.

Jimmy too good to suck. He’s never bad in the regular season. Just nonchalant as I said where he would have a game where he attempts 6 or 7 shots in a game Miami doesn’t win and this was before the trade stuff. He lacks the necessary aggressiveness on offense and defense in the regular season at least while with the Heat. Maybe he can get away with that more in golden state since he’s never going to be the guy there. I always thought 2nd option is the best role for him

Agreed. Added some stuff to that post, I'm pretty jazzed how this is looking so far
