This exchange between McVay and Cuz has me cautiously excited about what the offensive game plan may look like vs the Eaglettes

What else can he say? Perhaps something like "I'm sure we can win or I think we'll win." but that's about it.

A smart man would say, yes I expect us to win. But guaranteeing a win.... lets just say that even if you know you are going to whoop your little brothers ass, some times its not in ones best interest to egg him on.

Been to every skins game in that shithole the past 9 years. Best moment was New Years day 2006 ( 07' ?) when the Redskins won the last 5 games of the season to make playoffs with the last game in Philly. As the Philly faithful were exiting with about 4 minutes to go id estimate 4000-5000 of my burgandy brethern were singing hail to the Redskins as they left. F'N awesome memory. Good luck with 60,000 aholes in one place

Guarantees, some sincere others just empty bravado, get made all the time in all kinds of sports. Some come to pass, some don't.

If winning an NFC East title and going into the playoffs through the front door, and on your own two feet. As opposed to every other possible alternative including not making the playoffs at all. Isn't sufficient enough motivation for any and all Redskins players to wanna stick a foot not just in but through the ass of the Eagles entire team. I don't know what to tell you or them.

Thx my memory sucks. Portis and ST21 ruled that day.

Well, it was New Year's Day, 1/1/2006, making you right, but it was the 2005 season which is what I was going by. Yeah, they did, and Portis was a stud every week during that 5 game winning streak, but he averaged something like 27 carries a game during that stint and that was too big a workload for CP.

Brunell getting hurt the week before playing Philly in the NYG game hurt the Skins badly moving into the playoffs. Brunell was starting a hot streak passing-wise imo, had a big game the week before against Dallas and was hot against NY, when he got hurt. Ladell Betts breaking his leg a week before the NYG game against Dallas was another thing that hurt. Not as much as Brunell imo, but more than anyone thought it would. CP was done by the time the playoffs rolled around. That said, the Skins still had a shot in that game. Had Hall not missed a 36 yd FG and Carlos "Catch 22" Rogers dropped a walk in pick 6.

Having been born there and spending lots of time there because my extended family lived there I have this advice: stay away from a bunch of drunk fans in Iggle uniforms and don't say "Yo Vinnie" to anyone. :nono: Having said that, remember they beat up booed and threw snowballs at Santa and beatup our fan in Indian costume so good luck.

Years ago when the Caps first came in the NHL Philly fans came down by the bus load. There were more fights in the stands than on the rink.

I've stopped going actually... My boss has season tix and it is free every year but 2 years ago I saw 4 grown men screaming at a 8-10 yr old boy calling him a F'N faggot for having Santana's jersey on and they wouldn't stop. I said right then and there I'm not coming back to this shit show. A kid getting berated by those fuckers ended it for me and I've got 3 sons and I wouldn't even think of taking them to an event in philly. Thankfully Fed ex and Verizon are only 2 1/2 hours away.

As I was planning for the games I would try and attend this season, it came down to a coin flip between this game, and week 17 in Dallas. Traveling to both would have just been brutal on the body and the wallet. Part of me is actually sad the week 17 game won the flip. Because I think we secure the Division Saturday and I would love to be there in person. But part of me is also glad because I could pretty much assure there would have to be explanatory phone calls made to bosses, and bail money required if we made the trip to Philly for this particular game. I learned a few years back (2012 to be exact) going into Philly when they have a chance to play spoiler is a double edged sword. The team might get out with a win, but Skins fans who traveled to the game risk running into issues.

Hopefully I can go into Dallas next week and simply ask the fans do they think they will win their Super Bowl. :D

This matchup to me perfectly illustrates the bipolar entity that is the 2015 NFL season.

In DC, you had the owner and coach at odds over a quarterback.

In Philly, everyone allegedly hates the head coach.

And yet here we are with these two teams playing for the division title.

What a wacky season.
