This is true. We've made it to the playoffs, next test...that's all I'm focused on right now.

Kirk Cousins on breaking records, Aaron Rodgers and playoff experience

Excerpt

Kirk Cousins entered Sunday’s game against Dallas needing 120 yards to break Jay Schroeder’s franchise record of 4,109 yards passing in a season, set in 1986. Cousins became the first Redskins quarterback to throw for three touchdowns in the first quarter, but he was still six yards shy of Schroeder’s mark when he took the field for a fifth series early in the second.

Cousins, who eventually broke the record on a 28-yard pass to Jamison Crowder, was aware of all of this, thanks to his favorite target.

“I did know because Jordan Reed was giving me live updates after each play, as to how many more yards I needed,” Cousins told 106.7 The Fan’s Grant Paulsen and Danny Rouhier on Monday. “It was pretty special, honestly, to have teammates who were happy for your success as much as they are happy for their own success. And likewise, I felt the same way toward Jordan and Crowder and other guys who were out there trying to set records in different ways. I guess that’s when you feel like you have a team, when guys want to see others succeed as much as they want to see themselves succeed. It was a lot of fun to be able to have those moments and then obviously get a win, and finish the fourth quarter of the season going 4-0. I think that’s a really good statement.”

Cousins was asked, again, about his future in Washington after a record-setting season in a contract year.

“I just don’t know,” Cousins said. “I think it will come down to how much they want me, and their belief in me and what they see me doing going forward. And if they see the arrow trending up, and if they see potential, or if they don’t, that’s their call and their decision to make. And if they don’t, I’ll have to go find a job somewhere else, but I certainly will continue to try to do my part to give them every reason to believe in me and feel that they have something there. Whenever the season ends, hopefully later than sooner, we’ll be able to figure that out and see where we are.”

our secondary will be tested thoroughly.. cobb is explosive as is james jones and rodgers at TE is a tough cover for us

we most likely will line up golston , hall , breeland blacmon , and dunbar with no jarret

so our pass rush must hit home . smith and kerriagn with baker and hatcher up the middle will be key
