What does he do that someone like Holmstrom or Testwuide doesn't? But those 2 bring size and probably more skill than Powe. Maybe not Holmstrom, but Testwuide does.

id rather see powe on the team than guerin.. but i'd rather see holmstrom than powe.. testwuide i think fits a different roll than 3rd/4th line grinder/energy type guy

He flies around and hits everything that moves. Good on the pk and should score around 15 if he stays healthy. 4th line center until Betts gets better? The other 2 may need some AHL time to learn the spead of the game. Holstrom, did however, look good on the pk and did level a few guys. The good new is that there are options for in season call ups!

Yep Powe's a vet he doesn't need to ride the bus and if they scratch him no harm done he'll stay since he's so versatile. Carcillo....hard to say he may be the odd man out of they keep Guerin. To bad as I like him when he's on his game.

Solid, since I didn't see all that much rubber reach the goalie during the PKs so far. The only great chance against was when those 2 played a great cycling game in the offensive zone, and when it broke down, just got it back to the neutral zone and gave it to the defensemen. Carle promptly turned it over and led to a Versteeg mini-breakaway. That's just what I saw, but I only catch a period or 2 per game. If I had to choose between Testwuide, Carcillo, Guerin, and Powe, Testwuide is #1.

Powe has proven his value on the Pk...he will stay with the team...but numbers issues...he could be traded as well...

Powe does a lot of things including center so those guys are good to hang on to.

Wellwood has also looked pretty good lots of speed and a willingness to go to the net.
