I read somewhere just yesterday that the average cost of a Cowboys home game was highest in the NFL. I hate to break it to the OP, but most Americans can't afford those prices. With the cost of around 700 bucks for a family of 4 to watch a game, do it 8 times a year, that's a years worth of car payments on a decent car. I understand why poor people can't go and why middle class people won't. Jerry needs to ease off the greed a bit.

The other issue is DFW crowds are known for being quiet. Texas Ranger games aren't loud, the Mavericks games are so quiet that Cuban has to pay some idiot to yell " let's go mavs" during the entire game.

Average price really isn't the best way to do it since the outliers can skew the results. For example, how many party passes are there (@$29) in that number?

Kind of funny that there is such a big difference between the Jets and Giants averages...

Add in a couple of hundred for gas and food, and watching as Buck and Aikman call the game starts looking real good....

I think an underlining factor that has been missed or understated is that the City of Houston believes that they have a real rivalry with Dallas even though these two franchises have very little history. Houston is only approximately 400 hundred miles from Dallas. This game has been circled on Texans fan calendar for 4yrs. Most hard core Texans fan didn't mind making the 4 hr drive to Dallas. On the other hand to Cowboys fan this was just another game.
