It has been awhile since the last home game win back in 1923 but yes my team has not lost a home game on Thanksgiving.
Ok now I will be accused of a big Jinx for Thursday night but the Pack could be safe as the Ditka curse has ended.
This will be game 192 in the long time series with a chance for the Packers to even the current series record that is 93 - 92 - 6 in the Bears favor.
The halftime will be historic with Favre's number being retired up on the wall with Bart Starr now healed up enough to make what is being said will be his last trip to Green Bay to watch the event and to get that picture that has not been taken as of yet with Starr, Favre, and Rodgers together.
Something that puzzles me after seeing this information though is the date of the last Packer home Thanksgiving win being on Nov 29th of 1923. Has Thanksgiving not always been on the 4th Thursday of November? If this is the case it is not possible to have Thanksgiving on Nov. 29th
I will be in attendance for this event and the weather looks to be a bit nasty with rain predictions now at 90% and temps in the 40s and as evening rolls around they say some snow or sleet could be in effect.
It will be my first experience in many many games at Lambeau to have Thanksgiving Turkey under a canopy outside watching the rain come down
Packers host the Bears on Thanksgiving
The Green Bay Packers will take on the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field in the first home Thanksgiving game since 1923
The Packers are 3-0 at home on Thanksgiving, including two non-league games, and have outscored their opponents 43-0. This will be the first time Green Bay hosts a Thanksgiving game since beating the Hammond Pros, 19-0, on Nov. 29, 1923.
