Here are some younger names floating around that should be available for a reasonable contract

Austin Howard: RT (26 years old)
Shelley Smith: Guard (26 years old)
Evan Dietrich-Smith: Center (27 years old)
Dexter McCluster: WR/KR (26 years old)
Tyson Jackson: DE (27 years old)
Earl Mitchell: DE (27 years old)
Joe Mays: ILB (28 years old)
Arthur Moats: ILB (26 years old)
Captain Munnerlyn: CB (25 years old)
Malcolm Jenkins: Safety (26 years old)

These are the guys I would go after if we strike out on our first choice free agents. I am not saying we need to sign all of these guys because we clearly can't. However, each one of these players is an upgrade over what we currently have. Its sad, but that is the state of this franchise.

We should realistically be able to get at least 6 of these players.

A couple of these guys are my first option. I'm a big fan of Malcolm Jenkins and I think he could be the best S of the bunch...even Byrd. I'm hoping he comes here around 5 mil/season but from what I've seen this FA he will go for around 15mil/season and Byrd will get 20.

Tyson Jackson is my second option of DEs behind Ziggy Hood. I'd personally like to sign both Hood and Jackson if they come in around 2 to 3 mil/season.

Smith isn't bad but I'm really curious to see what happens with Walton. He was the starter in Denver before his injury.

Not a McCluster fan.

I don't see Walton back, that was a Shanahan move, not a gruden move. Smith is a real possibility.

15 and 20 mill per season?? For a safety?? With incentives?? Those numbers seem awfully high. Even for Byrd.

I know he was signed by Shanahan but why was this a Shanahan move? He has never played for Shanahan and the guy started on Denver's unlikely run with Tebow.

I was exaggerating because of the insane contracts that have been signed this offseason. Everson Griffen for 8 mil/season? WTF?
