That should do it. Portland will now be half game back of Dallas for 6th. Utah falls a half game behind Houston for 8th. Utah plays Houston on Tuesday Night. Portland is at home for Brooklyn and Houston before going on a pretty difficult 6 game trip (Bulls, Pacers, Knicks, Celtics, Raptors, and Pistons). They should be happy with a 3-3 trip to be honest.

Portland is going to have win some road games if they want to make the playoffs. After those 2 homes games this week vs Brooklyn and Houston, they play 12 of their following 15 on the road.

I could see Portland going 4-2 on that road trip, the only really difficult games are Boston and Toronto.

Pacers and Bulls are difficult also. Butler may be back also.

I'll say they go 3-3 with wins against the Pistons, Knicks, and Pacers

They've won 5 of their last 6 road games, but lost 14 of 18 road games before that. With how they are rolling right now I could see 4-2, but going to the East coast for a long road trip I could also see them struggling and being 2-4 or 1-5 instead. 3-3 seems like a good prediction, right in the middle.

I'll be happy with a 3-3 eastern road trip. But could see 2-4 or even 4-2.

So, they are jockeying to see which West power they get swept by?
The 76ers future looks brighter than the Kings future.

He 6ers future looks better than most teams. It is the present that is hard to stomach.

They at least have a plan for the future, even if it's taking a while to get there. The Kings don't have a good team or many assets to improve the team outside of trading DeMarcus and rebuilding. That plus the merry-go-round at head coach and even GM makes this a tough situation to turn around. Going into their 10th missed playoff appearance and they're still struggling to be playoff contenders. :tsk:

Rondo should resign with the Kings -- they took him when almost no other team would. The Kings also don't have a lot of good pieces -- so they will be forced to pay.

I'm split on re-signing Rondo. He definitely helps the fast pace offense the Kings have been running, but he also turns it over too much and is a horrible defender. If the rest of the team was solid defensively then it might be okay to have a below avg. defender at PG, but that's not the case. I want to see a team like the Jazz, built around strong defense.

I hope the Blazers are able to climb up to the 5th spot.... I think a Warriors-Blazers playoff series could be fun.
