Radiohead
U2
REM

I cannot begin to describe how much I dislike U2. They have rode the coattails of one good album for 30 years into an iconography that I will never get. They are awful, and Bono should die of Gonorrhea and rot in Hell.

The Dead.

I liked Casey Jones and Truckin, but that's about it.

Green Day
Meat Loaf
Beastie Boys

I have to agree on Meat Loaf. I don't know of many songs by him other than Anything For Love, Let Me Sleep On It, Paradise by the Dashboard Light, and Objects.

Beastie is overrated in some, but Sabotage was legit.

Totally disagree on Green Day. I just hated that album name.

The Dead.

I liked Casey Jones and Truckin, but that's about it.

I like their early blues stuff and the occasional song after, but too hippy dippy for me for the most part.

Rush.

Geddy Lee's vocals are like fingernails on a chalk board.

A lot of the bands mentioned I liked for a few albums, then they lost me. Radiohead starting with Kid A is up their own ass a bit. Pearl Jam got bland as hell once Eddie took over as the main songwriter (not just lyrics) after Vitalogy. Never much of a Bon Jovi fan, but they were at least tolerable early on. Rush loses me when they go TOO prog or TOO keyboard based.

I was/am just the opposite. The more Rush I hear, the more I appreciate the music.

I had a Rush period in my late teens/early 20's

Back then, I just didn't get it. I had moved on to a more bluegrass/country rock thing. As I got older and began to assemble my collection, old bands became new again, plus with added musical experience, my appreciation for some music has grown.

I like proggy stuff, it's just that Rush's proggy stuff typically comes from Geddy's shrill period, when I found his vocals more grating.

I've done that with some other bands, but a lot of the artists I played the hell out of in my younger days, I just don't listen to them anymore. Like yourself, I believe part of it is due to getting older and more experienced, and developing different tastes. Part of it is probably boredom.
