lee is hurt and most likely untradable (not like amaro would do so anyway.)

howard isn't going anywhere (because they won't suck up his money.)

ruiz isn't going anywhere (because he's so valuable to this sub .500 team.)

franco won't be called up (because he's not ready despite having a very good may, where as aumont is called up for having a shitty may, a shitty year in general and immediately costs the phils a win one apperance in because of his shitty control.)

byrd and burnett won't be traded somehow, even though they are perfect candidates.

ruf does not get any playing time and is continually bent over even though he's proven to be a guy who can pop around 30 homers, something this team can definitely use.

the team is insanely boring. they are not championship caliber, regardless of record. they could be in first right now, and they still wouldn't be close.

^ forgot to add how aumont was called up, but not giles. but yet, amaro states they are trying to be competitive and win. makes absolutely.. positively.. no sense whatsoever.

papelbon isn't going anywhere (because a closer is also valuable to a sub .500 team.)

this whole mini rebuild process should have been in full motion last year. it won't even start this year. it might not even start next year!! some of these guys should be gone already before they start to choke and blow up (papelbon easily comes to mind.) then we're right back to paying full cash for them and getting nothing.

so, so, so, so.. so..so.........so, so boring. the season is so long and boring. same boring players. same boring results. so boringggg! i will see you gentlemen in the offseason. or, barring a miracle, the deadline if some players actually go. i wouldn't waste a dollar bill if the odds were one in a million for that though.

enjoy the rest of the season! :burt:

At least you went out with an explanation. I'll savor it by reading one paragraph each week. That will at least get me to September callups

See ya' Phillies. I agree with your post. I don't give this team much of chance at anything except the cellar. As you put it, boring!!!

Positives:
Hamels is pitching well after signing his huge contract
Ryan Howard is playing decent
Chase Utley is playing great
The bullpen is steadily improving, and Papelbon and Adams have been lights out
Asche was coming into his own before getting hurt

Has any of what you posted Number One, translated into consistent wins? I think not as we go further into the cellar.

I want to be there when the new Brown and Asche are spraying hits all over MLB stadiums like we expected. The problem is I don't know if this will be July1, August 1, or September 1, and the longer the wait, the more boring it will get. And it may never happen. Can't blame _phiLLies_ for his disgust. Watching this team is torture. http://www.sportshoopla.com/forums/members/_phillies_.html

Rest easy Phillies...Beaver pitcher Ben Wetzler is coming to you soon.

12-1 this year, best pitcher in the nation...guy is like 34-6 at OSU for his career..he b a goodie.

I know you boys were pizzed he stayed in college another year, but no harm no foul there.

Amaro will put him through his regular 5 year routine. He will make his big league debut at age 27.

Correct Northeast on both posts. Friggin' braindead will screw anybody up no matter how miraculous and talented they may be. The dude is a walking cluster-eff job just waiting to happen.

pitching? baseball?

screw that!

He is more valuable on my County Fair fantasy team where I have him penciled in at my "sheep showing" position. He won junior championship there back in 2001.

I hope after college he realizes that there is no future in this baseball stuff and he embraces "sheep showing" full time where the real money can be made.

The title of this thread sounds like a Weird Al Yankovic song, sung to the tune of the only Britney Spears song I can name "Oops I did it again"

Reuben's not that innocent
