Point Streaks

I'm sure everyone is aware of Sid's streak, and its impressive.. BUT he still has 21 to go before he catches Mario's tteam record of 46... It got me thinking.

What are some other amazing streaks like Mario's? I'd have to think that Gretzky had a few long ones....

Gretzky's 51 is impressive, but downright amazing when you consider the 153 points he amassed during it.
He averaged a goal and 2 assists per game throughout the streak.

So, basically, once you pass 30 games you're into the "Elite" level (i.e., gretz/mario). Tell ya what though, Sid looked unstoppable at moments tonight. It's always better to get that live look at the players. Caught in awe on TV, but when you're THERE and see it develop? So awesome.

Eventually FSN Pittsburgh put up some of the longest point streaks that the NHL has had.. What they didn't include was Gretzky's 39 and 30 game streaks, they only had his 51 gamer... Talk about not giving credit.....
