Pocono Raceway WINDOWS 10 400

This week the NASCAR boys are back at Pocono for the Windows 10 400. Let's see how they can put us all to sleep with this one.

I like this track and think it gets a bit of a bad rap.

It's a unique track unlike cookie cutters, and it has that same appeal as Darlington where the corners are all different, so the teams are forced to try to find a setup that is a good compromise for the most speed.

Your car better be handling well and your engine better pack some power and last if you want to win this race. If you don't have the handling you won't get off the corners with enough speed to carry on the long straight, and if you don't have the power it won't matter how fast you get off the corner.

I think I'm one of the few that likes Pocono, especially since the repave and Denny Hamlin doesn't dominate there anymore.

When I lived in PA, I used to attend the race once and awhile. Since the upgrades, the track has improved but much of the grounds and stands remain antiquated and crappy. Getting into and out of the race is a major hassle as they have a country bumpkin two-lane divided road into and out of the area. To get to the race, it takes a good 2-3 hours on race day and the people are obnoxious as hell especially when they get drunk. I guess this could be stated about a number of tracks but this one I am relating from personal experience.

that hurts.... I know half the time I pick a C driver 90% of the idiots don't even make the race. They wait around to long to tell you all the entrants in the races. Chase bullshit is wrecking fantasy racing too.

I totally agree Psych-Ward. Frikin' numbnuts Brian France is allowing corporate money to run this sport into the ground and it is only a matter of time before it becomes an IROC series for the top several teams.

Yeah I picked too damn early this week. I like to go between the different stats for how a driver does at a track, compare what kind of rides they are in now(better/worse career), how the season is going(aka skip over Tony Stewart) and then pick off stuff like that.

The C drivers weren't marked as not entered, so I went with them.

But it's my own fault in the end because I've been doing this stuff for over 10 years so it's not like I don't know it happens. Always have to check back before Q and make sure they are entered, unless it's like Danica.

So when the Q list comes out, I usually have my lineup already set, but oddly enough it's been the B list killing me this year. Roush and Waltrip racing havent been doing shit this year!!!

And Kasey Kahne hits the pit wall and sends some helmets flying. Nobody around him and he just went around. These cars are just on the edge of losing control and this is an example. NASCAR needs to change the downforce package back to what it was or these cars are going to kill somebody. Screw the speed issue. These drivers can handle it.

This should affectively knock him out of the top 16, and will need another miracle win to make the Chase. That 5 car team is just garbage, and has been for years now

My personal hope for the race is Tony Stewart come home with a top 10 and hopefully build some momentum. Harvick is in the Chase. I'm pulling for Smoke to get a win before the end of the season, and IMO, his crew chief, Chad Johnson or whatever has screwed the pooch on more than a few races this season as well.
