We're gonna find out just how good or bad Wentz was on Sunday for sure. To be fair the QBs in Carolina weren't world beaters either. That said, initially the Turner hire was a head scratcher for me.

Tanking might be futile knowing Dan is gonna pick the next QB. Do you trust Dan to pick and get the right coach?
Dan cannot pick a QB...period

Dan can pick coaches who have short-term success...but that is it. As Sportster said, I doubt Dan hires a GM. However, that is the best option for building a team. A GM could possibly find a good long-term coach...Dan cannot. I doubt a competent GM would even take the job if Dan offered.

Dan has picked every QB since he's been here except for Brunell. Gibbs is the only guy Dan respects.

Jeff George
McNabb
RG3
Haskins
Wentz

Pretty sad isn't it

To be that horrible at something but not know it

The saddest thing is that Dan thinks he is the biggest Redskins fan a live.

That's a lot to unpack. I've seen Turner's offense work for stretches. Whether it can work over the course of a season is still in doubt. The Skins just don't have an offensive line.

I know that you are down on Wentz and Scott, but how would you feel about Scott's chances of success with a QB you liked and a competent offensive line?

I never said we were going to make the playoffs. I just stated that the NFC is wild this year and that we are a game out with 11 to go. Crazy as it sounds the overall point I was trying to make was that Sunday's game is actually a big game.

Twenty-four hours ago I thought our season was done and it may be. It's just crazy that we are a game out and ATL, SEA, and SF are most likely gonna take a loss next week. Not to mention either NO or AZ is gonna be 2-5.
I would agree that a competent QB and Oline would improve any coaches chances, as would a couple competent LB'ers and and a new secondary. My point is we are no closer to competent in year 3 with Riverboat than we were year 1. Your point taken but this requires new leadership.

I'm just as pissed as you guys are that it seems we have regressed as a team and all Rivera seems to do is blame the media. If anyone can dig us out of this hole it's Ron. It's what he does. Creates a hole for himself and spends the rest of the season trying to dig his way out.

It’s not just that, @Moab said it best in our team thread, we aren’t executing properly on any part of the team; with Adams I’d say we have the same record or be 4-2 at best. GB is currently unraveling. Lol
The Skins have never been raveled.

When a team needs a pick me up after a rough couple weeks. Or need/want to feel better about themselves, need a confidence boost, whatever the casw may be. They wanna look at their schedule and see the Washington Commanders are on deck.

That’s fair, and I’m sorry for what you go through.

Well you have to start winning games and beating your competition in the playoff race .

we have to Beat Our NFC opponents

that means the pack , vikings , falcons , 49ers giants Boys

as a coach you have to make a run for it , but as a fan I don’t think this team can go it

The schedule is brutal over the next four weeks for the Skins.

This game has all the makings of an "Aaron Rodgers get right" game.

To be manhandled by the Jets, who were straight up bad last year, then steamroll the Commander, which is highly likely, should be truly enough to fire this regime and replace it with somebody else.

But that's not going to happen, is it? Nope.

The way things are trending, Scott probably ends up being the fall guy.

won't be until after the season. There are no other playcallers on the offensive coaches side.

Playing a division 3 school, 8 man high school football squad and 2 all female flag football teams would be brutal.. The Skins next 4 opponents will either be desperate to get back on course, Green Bay, desperate to remain on course, Indy, or rollin right along, Minny n Philly. In one way or another they'll all be dangerous.

Per ESPN Wince is expected to miss 4 weeks. Lets see if RR fucks this up and rolls with Taylor.

You go straight to Howell? I'm not sure we get any.if those four with TH, SH, or CW.

Yep, I'd go with Howell. We know what TH is. Time to see what Howell is or at the least begin to formulate an opinion on him. @chillerdab made a good point about the risk of him getting jacked up him behind the Skins OL. but maybe he makes their job easier. By getting rid of the ball faster and not running into sacks. Maybe Howell can figure out how to get Terry Mac involved in the offense as at present 50some players have more receptions than TM does. Or help Samuel who's 14th or so in the league receptions-wise, but is only averaging 8.4 yards a catch. Maybe Howell doesn't throw 2 yards behind an open WR on a 7 yard crossing route. Or 4 feet high n wide right of an open RB coming out of the backfield.

These are things the Skins brass should be looking to find out.

I want to see Howell too. Really, we have to see Howell before the season is over. Does he know the offense? I think his legs are just as good with a bigger arm.

Any chance Ron loses a portion of the locker room by passing over Heinicke for a rookie 5th rounder?

I can't argue with any of this. Based on previous experience with the Redskins/Football Team however, I would expect Howell to get shellshocked like Patrick Ramsey did, Jason Campbell did, and Alex Smith did (actually, AS just got rocked he didn't hear footsteps), before I would expect the Commanders to be able to formulate a rational opinion about Howell.

For proof, see Oline.
For further proof see free agent signees.
For even more proof, see Wentz trade.
