Hitchcock pretty much played strength on strength versus the Sharks:

Backes line + Pietrangelo/Huskins vs Thornton's line

Berglund line + Jackman/Shattenkirk vs Couture's line (this matchup accounted for 2 of the 3 even strength goals, Berglund' first goal and Havlat's GWG)

If I were Hitch, I wouldn't change a thing. They dominated the first OT and at other times during the regulation time. They had a chance to win the game many times. What more can you ask for?

Well, I'd play Elliott if he was 100% and sit Halak, but that's about it.

My thoughts exactly. Wings fans are going to call for his head because that's what fans do, the rest of this has been overblown. He could have gotten a game but he didn't. Get over it and move on.

There has been no talk of Zetterbergs hit on Weber right before that incident, or any of the slashings or punches that were thrown in the other scrums at the end of that game by players from both teams.

Really? Lets be honest we all knew Huskin sucks, sadly Hitch figured it out quicker the Tmac did. I think the Boo's are losing some size with this line up change which bods well for the Sharks all 3 of those guys coming in arent really an upgrade over the guys going out, other then speed.

I see alot of turnovers coming from Calovico,actually i stand correct Crombeen is an upgrade over stewart

Defensive liability and slower then pavelski first step, so if he aint scoring he's worthless

So MacDonald showed the media his cracked helmet thanks to Galiardi's hit. After practice today Galiardi had this to say: "You should see my cracked shoulder pads."

Does Todd try to get the Thornton line on a different matchup than the Backes line now that he has last change in SJ? The second Blues goal was the only goal that had been scored by either the Thornton or the Backes line at ES so they are somewhat neutralizing each other.

As much I want the Thornton line to do something, I don't think Couture can handle the Backes line. I hope Todd continues to keep Thornton on Backes. Perhaps give Desjardins/Winnik/Wingels some more minutes whenever the Blues 3rd or 4th line is out there. I also want to see White in for Demers. This speaks more about Demers play than it does about White's play.
