Washington didn't play well and needed the lucky play to win the game.

We were really hoping we would just cook the turkey correctly at the beginning of the year. Everything from here on out is how much gravy and fixings do you want.

Raiders over Bucs would be huge for us.

Why? We want TB to win the division. they hold the tie breaker over us if we are fighting with them for a wildcard. We control our own destiny with Atl.

I understand the premise, but an AFC win over a team you're scrapping against to get in isn't a bad thing. In addition, Tampa is at the Chargers next week. Tampa being two back with four to go works for me.

this was already discussed. We win out and lose against Philly an GB loses against Sean and Minn we get the tie breaker for the #6 seed. Or do i have this wrong?

Division record wouldn't be a tie-breaker between the Skins and Packers. Division record only matters when you break a tie between two teams in the same division.

I don't want to see them benefit from a quirk in seeding or anything else like that. All year long the doubters and overly cautious have been trying to figure out what this team is relative to their rise from the familiar trash heap that it has occupied for the last 20 years or so.

Let's be clear on something...

This team has achieved something this year but as impressive as it has been, we must look at them realistically, with sober eyes and as little bias as possible.
So, what's the big achievement?, they've become the team that can consistently beat their peers... peers being in this case, the also-rans of the league. Once themselves being a team that others inked in as a win, they are now the team that can confidently ink in their peers as wins but it's a precarious perch because with it comes hope, possibility and visions of better things. Circumstantially falling into the 6th seed is unsustainable and will give too many a false sense of this group because there's a greater possibility to win a playoff game. The best road for this franchise comes with making the playoffs via its own efforts (or don't) and accepting the results of that game as a referendum on what it must do to rise from being the best of the also-rans to a consistent upper crust team.

While I agree on merit, there is one benefit from having more time even in season. We are improving because we have a sponge for a rookie QB. Living another week into the playoffs improves our team more than other teams with aging players.

There's no doubt about the benefits to Daniels, but I suggest that...that too can be a precarious thing. What are your thoughts on Washington giving attention to the 2023 Houston Texans and learning from their 2024 season since they appear to be following a similar path?

I don’t know Stroud well enough to say anything about his work ethic but I also don’t remember him ever being as accurate as JD throughout his collegiate career. Hell, Nick Foles had a crazy season once too and Eli had hot streaks.
