Heard a bunch of cheering outside my window and thought "oh great, the Dodgers just won game 4". I checked the score and saw that Jansen had Phillips on the ropes with 2 strikes and 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th inning. Then I see the update! Rays walkoff! And I remember, this is Angel territory. Many of them dislike the Dodgers almost as much as us Giants' fans do.

Many of my friends who are Angels' fans are, at best, neutral about the Dodgers. Quite a few of them dislike the team and root for whoever they play against. I would wager that they would even root for the Giants over the Dodgers (although some have a strange dislike for the Giants, which makes no sense to me).

It would have been sweet, on many levels, to have seen the Astros defeat the Dodgers in this year's World Series. Alas, it was not to be.

Well, yes, that is true. So consider how bad they are going to get with a trophy in recent history. I don't think there will be useful synonyms for obnoxious in the dictionary for how they will be.
