We are currently the #8 seed. The dogs have already clinched HFA throughout the playoffs.
7) Cin (3 @ Min) +0.5
8) SF (4 vs SD) —
9) Phi (3 @ TB) -0.5
10) Mil (3 @ StL; 1 vs StL (@ StL)) -1.0
11) NYM (3 @ Wsh) -2.5
12) Col (4 @ Arz) -3.0
All our competition is on the road while we are at home. I think you can rule out the Mutts and pebbles.
The Padres have already clinched a 2nd place finish, so they are basically playing for nothing at this point.
The Twinks have secured a playoff spot, but still needs to clinch the division.
TB has clinched the division, but still needs to secure the AL #1 seed.
StL is fighting off Cin and Mil for both the #2 spot in the Central AND the WC.
i think the Giants and Phil’s have the easiest opponents this weekend because they really aren’t playing for anything. And unless the Reds fall on their face against the Twinks, I see 2 teams coming out of the Central. So it basically comes down to the Giants and Phil’s for the last spot (could be 7 or 8).
The Mil/StL series and the Cin/Min series, I think, have very little to do with us. It is all about SF/SD and Phi/TB.
