It also uses Brady as a bye week example. I think that's all it was, an example. In any event, it sure does make things interesting.

So which of us wins the Super Bowl trip?

not I...I promise us frozen Canucks are not eligible...:canada:

Should have read that more closely before writing what I posted before. If I understand correctly then, you want to choose players who you not only expect to score a lot of points in a given week, but also who play on teams that you expect to keep advancing in the playoffs.

Correct. Instead of giving us a salary cap, they reward people who pick the winners. It is definitely a different style. I'm not really sure how I feel about it.

Suppose you choose a player whose team has a bye in the WC round and his team goes on to win the SB. If that player were to score 10 points in the divisional round, 11 points in the championship game, and 12 points in the SB, then would that player score a total of 4(10+11+12)=132 points?

Not exactly.

It would be:

(10 x 2) + (11 x 3) + (12 x 4) = 101

Guys,

I might be missing something, but I don't see a playoff challenge available on ESPN. If it isn't out by now, they might not host one this year.

There is one available on NFL.com and I have started a group there.

The name of the group is: MBBRL
and the password is: KOTFvsBarbarians

Anybody who wants a shot is welcome to play, whether you were in MBBRL or not. There is no limit to how many can be in the group. Just be sure to read the rules first, as there are some interesting scoring rules.

You can either join by searching the NFL.com site, or if you want an email invite, just PM me with your email address.

For anybody trying to reach me after Thursday, I will be out of town and may not have a chance to get online. If I don't reply to you, that is why.

Sure....i`m in.:suds:

Which is why anyone banking on Broncos should really think twice.

Spoken like a divisional rival, Treff.

Denver doesn't get bitterly cold like it would be in KC, GB, NE, or CIN. That said, the Super Bowl is in NJ/NY.

I was just wondering what the odds/history is of the #1 seeds both playing in the Super Bowl. Usually one or both get eliminated.

Wiki answered my question. Just went back a few years:

2012 > SF #2 lost to BAL #4
2011 > NE #1 lost to NYG #4
2010 > PIT #2 lost to GB #6
2009 > NO #1 beat IND #1
2008 > PIT #2 beat ARI #4
2007 > NE #1 lost to NYG #5
2006 > CHI #1 lost to IND #3

Man, Patriots fans must hate the Giants with a passion.

I have the Niner's going all the way this year. I know, I know they can't win in Seattle but I have a feeling they find a way.

Joe, I'm sure you remember I live in CO. and while technically you're right, it still gets plenty cold enough to enter Manning's uncomfortable zone, and it snows as much if not more than those other places. No way I'd bank in Manning or Bronco WR'S unless I can wait till game day every week and pay the forecast is for a sunshiney 40 degree day.

I get a pretty big chuckle out of all the Bronco fans here who have such short memories and actually think this team is an easy lock for the Super Bowl.
