Player Motivation

We know coaching is a problem, team captains were named and it seems to be doing very little in terms of players pushing and motivating their teammates.

Dave Remington and Rob Zatechka touched on the subject quite well in this audio clip

Do we have the wrong team captains? Are they afraid to say or do something that will bring Bo down on them? Is this the byproduct of not appointing captains until the end of the season for the last 5 years?

They just sat around on the bench and gave up on Sat., captains should have been all over everyone trying to get the teams confidence up.

They need leadership, someone needs to step up, not the coaches, they failed already

Everything I heard was that the sideline was somber in the 2nd half even when they were up. No one was trying to pump guys up. Where we're our captains??? Why isn't someone saying something in that situation??

I know there is plenty of guys on the huskers board would love to have the job of pumping up the team.

I'm on record already with 1 of the group who has no business wearing a C patch

In the clip they said how guys back in the day like the Peter Bro's or Wistrom would have never ever let one of their teammates quit on them
