If I recall, 7pm games never start well. After all, the Kings are used to 7:30 starts.

Fleury will be in net tonight for da Pens. They had Greiss go against the Ducks last night (who sucked by the way, I was bored and watched the 2nd period on GCL). Quick in net again, don't expect any lineup changes.

Luc's statue is getting unveiled in an hour, that's really sweet!

These shot totals are a lie. Pittsburgh I feel like has way more than 11 shots. The Kings need to get into the dirty areas. They didn't make life difficult for Fleury in the 2nd. Important to get these 2 points. SJ-Vancouver are tied after 2, that game is likely going OT.

Brown was outside the crease and was just trying to skate by. There was a minor push on him. I think the call was right all around. Just bummed they didn't score.

Toffoli wasn't double teamed at the time, he had space to make a play, but he hesitated and that's when it went wrong.

Regardless it's a bad play all around, the pass by Carter should never have gone to the middle of the ice. Kings did not score at all this season against Pittsburgh. Shut out in both games.

Brown (or was it Toffoli?, sorry those jerseys are difficult to see the numbers) with a bad turnover leaves Hornqvist wide open for the wrister, Quick still should have stopped that, a save doesn't get any easier than that. No one was blocking his line of site and he saw the puck all the way.

It was Toffoli. The numbers are actually easier to see in the arena. A lot better than the gold numbers on the purple jerseys. As far as the statue is concerned, I thought it was a nice ceremony and the statue captures Luc well. Celebrating a goal with a big smile. I like the use of color too. Not pleased with the placement of it though. Gets hidden a little among the flag poles. I was under the impression the original plan was to place it down near the star plaza across from Gretzky's statue. Maybe they found it too hard to move Gretzky which would have be required. Oh well at least we have another hockey statue. Still don't know how the boxer rates one. Did he ever even have a fight at Staples? If he did it couldn't have been very many.

You got that right Deader. Losing to Ottawa 4-0 and it's now 4-3 with time left in the 3rd period. It's like they've got that "Refuse to Lose" attitude.

I actually credit Martin. Being a defenseman myself, you look at opposing forwards in the offensive zone and gauge what their awareness is. He saw Toffoli not knowing where he (Martin) was in terms of positioning and aggressiveness and jumped on him. Smart play IMO although I don't think the Pens should have won that game.

Toffoli is still learning and now he has a lesson learned - keep that head on a swivel and assess the situation. Being a 4-on-4 and in OT I think he thought "nah, he won't pinch down on me, they want to play conservative" and it burned him and the team.

The plus is at least it was an EC team.
