pitching has been superb! frankly it surprises the hell outta me. starters, with one notable exception, have been great but the relievers have been 'royalesque'! era of 1.11 after nine games. yes it's early and the competition hasn't been very good but this is SUCH a pleasant change from the last few years and they're doing this IN SPITE of their manager!
next week should be a better test facing baltimore, texas, la and toronto.

not very pleased with frazier's start and it's not just his stats (even tho he has the 6 rbi's) but he just looks bad and i still think it's crazy to be paying $2M to a shortstop that isn't as good as the $1/2M guy warming the bench and, of course, the catching sham will catch up to us .... but if everyone else can keep doing what they're doing we might actually compete!

yes, i was referring to rollins in the last part of that sentence. and frazier makes a little more than $2M.

The offense has been pretty crappy but it is nice to see them consistently scoring late in ball gms. Seems like they never scored late in gms the past 3-4 seasons

Sox pitching has allowed only one (or fewer) run in last four games ... one short of a 1913 record. Talk about an obscure fact.

Sad to say, with Danks taking the bump this afternoon ... ain't happenin.

not gonna matter much if 4 regulars (almost 5) can't even manage .200. sox's refusal to part with a starter for a real bat or two will keep them right where they've been for the past 4 years.

.234 team average and 2 stolen bases in the first 11 games. it doesn't get much more pathetic than that.

I really hate to say this, but... I have little hope Frazier turns this around and has a good season. He stunk the second half of last season... if I do recall.

This has LaRoche and Dunn written all over it. I am sorry to say I believe.
