The Crew might have a hot pitching staff this year. What do you say to that, Senor Cubbies?

I think that Greinke will benefit from the move. Milwaukee and KC are similar in that they are small market teams. I could never envision him on the big stage of NY or Boston. Gallardo has good stuff, but, I don't see a whole lot else in their rotation.

Not that the Cubs are overwhelming anyone with their staff.

Ya, I'm not sure how the other guys will step up. Wolf should be solid again. Marcum should be good. But you're right, when Greinke and Yo aren't out there, our bats have to have career years or they probably still won't get the division.

The pitching staff should be interesting this year. It depends on which Dempster and Zambrano we get. If it's the Z that went 8-0 with a 1.7 ERA after his anger management, then we could be pretty good. More likely than not, .500 and Pena is traded by mid-July.

Ya, it's not really looking up for the Cubs. Z is too crazy to be consistent.

I'm already expecting The Brewers to squander their big off season.

^^^this^^^

I've already prepared for a slow start winning streaks in May, June, and July and the late August / early September meltdown.

The season will look like this.

As of Mother's Day they will be 4.5 games back

As of the All Star Break they will be 1.5 games up

At the trade deadline, they will make a move that fucks everything up 3.5 games up

Labor Day they will be .5 game up

September will suck ass and they will finish 4 games back with a 84-78 record.
