cant see how this is gonna happen. That would mean if a trade is in place, they take over Austins contract. Only way this is possible is if Austin is willing to redo contract with the browns before the trade goes official. Why would he do that? Just don't cooperate. the browns wont trade & Austin gets released & can go to any team willing to pay him. Instead of just waiting to see what one team will pay him. If we don't trade him he is getting released so the teams & Austin will just wait for the release.

Not a team like Cleveland. If any team even considers it that team will be a contender who needs depth. Even then I doubt any one does bite. Austin is not a must have so teams will wait for him to be cut then bring him in as a FA. They save money and a Draft pick. All the team loses is the guarantee of landing Austin.

I'm sorry I have to disagree. I know we should never say never, but I don't see anyone paying Austin 5.5 mil this season. So therefore trading him would be impossible.

Lets say that a team thinks Miles can be a good player again. Would they trade for him AND his contract? You don't just get the player, you get the contract. I wouldn't sign him for half that contract if he cost nothing in a trade. The reason he is untradeable is because his contract far exceeds his value.

Plus, teams know we are cutting him. Is it possible he gets traded? Of course, but to be realistic it isn't going to happen...
