I realize that Kyrie will get the nod over Ben. And I wouldn't be bothered by him getting the nod over hin. But I could absolutely make an argument that he has been more impactful for the Sixers than Kyrie has been for the Celtics.

I don't think it will matter because the All-Star team groups all guards together so I would expected Kyrie and Ben to be the starters. Beal, Kemba and Lowry could possibly supplant one of them though.
Yeah, it's a popularity contest.

But, Ben is a better defender.

Kyrie is leagues better offensively.

Depends on what you value.

If I needed a bucket, I want Kyrie.

If I needed a stop, Ben.

I don't think Ben will be a starter.

Old habits die hard....

But, if Beal and Kemba are All Stars, so is Blake.

All 3 of their teams are dumpster fires and 8th, 9th and 10th in the East.

Kemba 25, 4 and 6.

Beal 25, 5 and 5.

BG 26, 8 and 5.

I agree. And where would those three teams be without them

Even worse

I don't see Bledsoe as one of the 12 best in the East.

I was with him until he said Lowry.

How can Vuvecic be a lock, despite his record, because of his numbers.

But, Lowry gets in over Russell, Middleton and Butler?

I don't see Bledsoe as one of the 12 best in the East.

What's the big difference between Lowry and Bledsoe?

16, 5 and 6 for Bledsoe.

Vs.

14, 5 and 9 for Kyle.

Remember: Giannis averages 6 dimes a game.

So, Bledsoe is not even the primary playmaker.

Both guys play for teams at the top of their division.

Ps. I don't care how many games he misses.

UNLESS he's not healthy, Lol @ LeBron as a non starter.

Vucevic too. Dude is ballin. Always been a fan of his and can't understand why people don't give him any love.

Although I don't think Klay deserves the All-star this year (mostly because of his up and down play), I think there's a high chance he gets in. It goes to the coaches vote, and more times than not, they seem to favor the old head versus the new guy. I personally would rather his spot go to someone like a Tobias Harris or possibly even Luka.

Absolutely.

He put in the work, has the numbers.

Boogie made the all star Team when he was with the Kings.

That's why I don't get why they exclude some guys due to team record.

You could be right about Klay as well.

I don't mean to fixate on one guy.

But, if Lowry gets in, why can't Klay?

Fox, Buddy, Luka, Tobias, Murray all have the numbers.

Not everyone can make it though and I wouldn't be shocked if they went with Klay.

Since all those guys are deserving, there's also a good chance they each diminish each other's shot of getting in by splitting ballots. Klay will inevitably end up on some.

In regards to Butler, I've seen it come up multiple times over the last few days that there seems to be a sentiment that Butler will be left off the AS rosters as punishment for the stink he caused in Minnesota. Lowe used that reasoning a bit as well. Honestly, that's a bullshit reason. If he's playing at an all star level on court, that's all that should matter.

Yep.

I saw that as well.

People are saying he shouldn't get rewarded with an all star selection for destroying a franchise.

Ummmmm.....

The Timberpups did that to themselves when they let Thibbs have dual roles and gave a undeserving Wiggins a max deal.

Don't get me wrong.

I am not a fan of how shit went down.

But, it's not like the word wasn't out on Butler.

You can't put a lion in a sheep pen and then get mad when he eats a couple.

They wanted Jimmy to push and challenge the youngins.

He did.

Sadly, they curled up in the fetal position instead of fighting back.

I don't think Butler should be an all-star because he has been too up and down with the Sixers.

He won’t make it but you can’t watch Stephen Adams play much and not say he deserves consideration. Leads the league in offensive boards and gets most all his stuff without much being run through him.

If centers were voted on separately I think he would get in.

Jokic is the only true Center out West that has been better.

Don't @ me with KAT.

His team has been trash.

I don't get what the team's play has anything to do with this at all. Teams "deserve" more than 1 all-star because they won a certain amount of games? What if that team is winning with role players and depth? Put the most exciting and talented players in for this defenseless exhibition and get it over with lol. It's not like the outcome determines home court for the finals or anything, lol. I would go extra backcourt for the wildcards.

West:
Starters: Steph Curry, James Harden, Kevin Durant, Lebron James, Nikola Jokic
Reserves: Damien Lillard, Russell Westbrook, Paul George, Luka Doncic, Anthony Davis, Klay Thompson, Donovan Mitchell

East:
Starters: Kyrie Irving, Jimmy Butler, Kawhi Leonard, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Joel Embiid
Reserves: Ben Simmons, D'Angelo Russell, Jayson Tatum, Blake Griffin, Nikola Vucevic, Victor Oladipo,
Kemba Walker
