I've been saving my high waiver position for late in the year. Does it make sense to:

1) Grab Crabtree?

or

2) Grab Crowell?

or

3) Grab nobody?

I'm strong at RB (Murray, Matthews, Ingram, Anderson)

and WR (D. Thomas, Cobb, Sanders).

Unfortunately, I've also lost four in a row (Don't ask)

Stand pat or make a move?

I wouldn't use my hard fought waiver ranking on Crowell. Not even sure I want to play him over West this week. Not sure Id want to start either over Tate. Not sure why I got involved with Browns RBs.

If you aren't going to start the add you make, Id hold out another week.

First off, i dont consider you strong at RB... You have a solid RB1, but all except anderson has a bad injury history... Murray has been used so much this season, that he may breakdown at some point...

I would definitely go with Crowell... and then try to shop matthews or ingram...

I see your point, although barring injury, Ingram/Murray is pretty solid.

Where I'm getting killed is QB. I have Rivers, who of course made me look like a genius early in the season. I might have to grab another QB for the stretch run.

Yes, but you can probably wait until waivers run.

For that matter, you can probably wait until waivers run and grab Latavius Murray; the Raiders need to know what they have there and there's no reason to keep trotting out 93-year-old RBs when you're 0-27.

If McCown is available, I would grab him up. He is doing well the last 2 weeks and hopefully will continue.

Am I missing something here? Why on earth would you not grab Crowell? 15 touches last week for 70 yards to West having 5? Gordahn is back and should open things up a bit..............sorrym but I'm all over Crowell if I'm you.

(RotoWire) Tate was waived by the Browns on Tuesday. Analysis: Tate has become increasingly frustrated with his diminished role in Cleveland, and the team ultimately decided to move on and move forward with the combination of rookies Isiah Crowell and Terrance West. Tate averaged just 3.1 yards per carry in eight games with the Browns this season, but he has averaged 4.4 yards per run for his career and has 48 NFL games under his belt, so he figures to hook on with a team in need of running back help.

And there lies the craziness of "saving" your high waiver spot.
You've lost 4 in a row you say, did that waiver spot help you out at all there?
How many players have you missed out on? Forgive me but if a guy on waivers is probably better than one on my team, I'm picking him up, waiver position be damned. If Crowell gives you a better team than the guy you'd drop, then yes. . Do it

I agree. I think the biggest mistake people make with high waiver spots is not using them. Had you used yours 4 weeks ago, you might be back to the top already by now.

If I have a middle spot, I will put in a claim for a top guy in case he falls through, but I would actually be more inclined to save #4 or 5 than number 1. That might not Make sense to anybody else, but it makes sense to me.

I figured most leagues waiver order reset each week. Reverse order of the standing which really sucks for the good teams. Cant ever patch up an injury until you lose or make a trade while the shit teams build a decent waiver team 12 weeks out of the season.

Tate being gone changes things. But I wish Id never got involved with that backfield. Got out of Detroits early only to jump into a bigger mess.

There's a good thread discussing waiver resets. Lots of pro and cons.

Believe it or not, I was heavily favored to win all four games. Rivers/Dalton killed me three of those weeks, and one week I lost with the second most points that week. Bad luck.

Even this week I am favored to win by 30. We'll see how that goes. :)
