Goddamn weather!

Major storms rolled through this morning (there are trees down all over my part of town) & took the power out. They just got my lights back on a few minutes ago.

I sure would have loved to see that race. :(

Sort of figured something was out. The Phillies game was rained out so that makes sense Indy. Pretty exciting race but many of the drivers were having flash backs to Las Vegas and the pack racing that killed Weldon and are voicing their displeasure.

So, I actually sat and watched this one. I have been feeling that my interest in Indy Car is waning. This race contradicted that in a big way.

Although the horrendous whining at the end took away a bit of my enthusiasm. Willy "Golly Gee" Power is a whining twat. "What are we doing?" YOU'RE RACING. Not as much fun when you can't just drive away from everyone, is it?

Kanaan was a full car length back and complained that he was ahead, and then got pissy when showed a photo. So many other drivers were crying about something or other.

I mean when an Andretti is not whining and everyone else is, something is off. Big congrats to Graham. Kid's got balls of steel. Although I thought he was going to get a serious penalty for that one backhand slap block he threw with about 30 to go. Gotta watch that, boy. If he'd have thrown it any anyone but Marco, he probably would have gotten more than a warning.

I hope Graham's fuel rig guy finds a new job quick.

Sato just cannot avoid an accident. He and Power get into and they are both out.

Every time I see Sato in the mix, I cringe. Especially when Whine Power in there too. If he hadn't come down a full lane, Sato wouldn't have bounced off Dixon. At least Scott didn't get taken out when those other two buffoons tangled. They are both dangerous.

Holy cow, the two Ryans take each other out. Hunter-Reay and Briscoe wreck and they call the race under caution. Rahal wins it!

Thank God for wheel tethers, that left front on Briscoe's car came damn close to Ryan's head. Amazing those guys came away unhurt. And as much impact as it had, it's pretty luck it nosed in like it did. He almost landed on his head.

Goddamn weather!

Those storms are why I watched :) Everything here was soaked, so I just stayed in.

Do yourself a favor, find a recording of it or something. I don't typically like oval racing in any form, but I enjoyed the hell out of that race.

It was a very competitive race and even the announcers were squealing about the close racing. They asked A.J. Foyt what he thought and he sadi he loved it, like the way he used to race. Yep, everyone was whiney ACCEPT Andretti. Interesting indeed.

It's a problem when NASCAR and F1 fans are saying they watched and thought it was great and the reigning champ and most popular driver, plus team owners are saying they hated it.

Curious how IndyCar deals with it.

Yea, we shall see the changes they'll make on the ovals.
