Well this is the finale and we will see if Scott Dixon can hold off Alexander Rossi for the championship this week in Sonoma. Ryan Hunter-Reay posted some pretty fast laps in the opening practice and Dixon laid down a fast one or two himself. Newgarden had some mechanical troubles and spent most of practice in the pits. Should be another good race.

RHR takes the pole and Dixon follows. Rossi starts sixth with Marco in fourth.

At Lap 17, Will Power leads Newgarden and RHR in Sonoma.

Power is in the pits and RHR takes over the lead followed by Dixon, Pagenaud, and Andretti on lap 20!!

RHR still leads Dixon and Pagenaud at Lap 29. No sight of Rossi.

Marco Andretti still retains fourth place. Andretti is having a good day.

Andretti is closing in on Pagenaud and may pass him for third.

Andretti takes over third. Lands on the podium for cryin' out loud.

Now on Lap 37, RHR still leads Dixon and Will Power.

On Lap 48, RHR leads Dixon and Pagenaud. Andretti is back in fourth.

At Lap 65, RHR still leads Dixon and Power. Rossi is fifth, a lap down. 20 laps remain.

13 laps to go and RHR is still in the lead.

RHR takes the checkered flag followed by Dixon, Power, Pagenaud, and Andretti is fifth. Dixon wins his fifth championship by finishing way ahead of Rossi.

Finally, I chose an outright winner in RHR.
