It's time to bring another season to a close.

Team Penske locked out the first three starting spots, with Castroneves claiming 2nd, and Dixon qualified in 7th. - But BOTH will take 10 spot grid penalties in order to have fresh engines strapped to their backs.

... So it will be interesting to see if either can fight their way back to the front of this race.

Certainly the smart move on Dixon's part will be to plant himself on Helio's back axle & just stay there for the rest of the race: I'm convinced that this is what he will do, thus securing his 3rd series title.

And Andretti signed Hinchcliff and is moving to Honda next year. Right now he has three cars. Hinchcliff with United Data as the sponser, Hunter-Reay, and Marco.

Just watched my tape of the race: Of course, thanks to all of the wrecks, I missed the last 35+ laps!

Anyways, congrats to Will Power on the win, & to Scott Dixon on his 3rd series title.

bored at work was MIA on this round ( ), & that was enough to let me slip by him for the points championship in our little contest. I picked up 5 points for choosing Power to win. Retroram52 was blanked in his choices: It was just one of those nights, with lots of cars coming & going all race long.

Here's how we finished the season:

IndyAndy: 29 points
bored at work: 27 points
Retroram52: 19 points

There has already been a fair bit of 'Silly Season' news, but I'll probably wait a bit before starting up an Offseason thread.

We'll do this again next year. Everyone who didn't join in this time around will be more than welcome to participate.

Congrats Indy. Yea I got skunked. I thought I had some points as both Kimball and Dixon faded at the end. I'll take the third seat on the podium though and I'll be back next season for another rousing game of "Pick the Podium" in the IRL!
