Indy Car will ensure it: Castroneves, Power, anyone but a Ganassi car. I'll go with Bourdais.

The more I hear Indy Car and Penske mouthpieces talk, the more disgusted I get.

OH FOR FUCK'S SAKE!

They need to ban the entire Penske team for the rest of the season. Helio gets jacked up, dropped to the back and suddenly Power takes Dixon out.

Un-fucking-real

"Lost it in a straight line", my ass.

Okay: From the 'behind' angle (Dixon's car), I can accept that Will was coming up hard of SeaBass & was trying to slingshot around him. - But how about checking his mirrors 1st?

Calls for a meme IMO:

Aaaaaand, there it is. Indy refuses to bring Dixon's car back to the pits, even though the rules stay they will unless it's less than 10 to go.

Making it up as they go along.

This track is terrible. ALMS looked like two monkeys fucking a football, this has been 10x worse.

Time for us to all join in together in a rousing version of La Marseilles :D

Congrats to Simon Pagenaud on his 2nd IndyCar victory. - And to Josef Newgarden & SFHR on a career/team best 2nd place result.

Finally, a tip of the hat to Simona de Silvestro on a well-deserved 5th place result.

As for how we did:

As only forty three racks up any points - 2 for picking Bourdais to finish 3rd, bored at work lucks out after failing to submit picks in for this weekend.

Season totals so far:

bored at work: 25 points
IndyAndy: 22 points
Retroram52: 9 points
forty three: 2 points

Next up: A double-header weekend on the streets of Houston; Oct 5 & 6.

What a pile of krap race this was. After clogging up the track with a re-start in the first turn, the dopes did twice more taking out more cars. Of course Andretti drivers never met a wreck they didn't like and Hunter-Reay's machine just plain quit. A whole four months off then on to Houston.

I was trying to be funny when I picked Seabass. I knew he was deeeep in the field and the Dragon entry seems to have trouble with keeping all the parts bolted onto it. Figured there was no way in hell, even if Bourdais has a reputation for keeping bad cars together.

Even for the mess the race was, it was good to see that Podium and Simona in fifth. Pagenaud is a very underrated driver, Newgarden is hard to dislike and I have a soft spot for Seb. All I needed was Graham to not hit a wall (he always does) and I would have been really happy.

Well, as happy as I could have been with most of the top ten drivers in piles of carbon fiber...

Turned out to be a crash fest and the Andretti drivers were in all of the wrecks. Must be in the water they drink. Marco tried to hold off Pagenaud late in the race but with a damaged front wing, his lead did not last.

Post-race comments made by Dixon: Does he still stand by them today?

I hope so!

www.autoweek.com

Read the viewers' comments below the article. - One suggests a 'bridge' (doesn't have to be more than a few inches high in reality) over the train tracks to remove the need for the chicane. - What do you think about that idea?

Sorry... I was too lazy to turn on the computer Sat night and I forgot Sunday till after the race started. Shame though, because I totally saw a podium of Pagenaud, Newgarden & Bourdais...
