F-1 ventures back to North America this weekend for the Grand Prix of Canada in the French section of the country which would be Montreal. Unless Hamilton and Russell begin to consistently threaten RB's dominance, Verstappen will continue to march toward his third consecutive championship. We shall see if the progression of the Mercs continues.

Yesterday TSN replayed 2007 and 2011 Canadian GPs. 2007 was Hamilton's first GP win and featured the rather large Kubica wreck at the hairpin. 2011 was the multi safety car monsoon of a race that saw Button hold every position in the race despite 6 pit stops. Vettel spun out on last lap and Button got his famous victory.

I'd forgotten the early race collision between Button and Hamilton that was eerily similar to Russell and Hamilton.

For the first time ever, I figured I’d check out live streaming on TSN to watch P1. And then they have to cancel P1.

I understand P2 will be extended by half an hour.

1.5 hours of P2 was worth the wait.

Hamilton and Russell go 1-2 in FP-2. Hamilton in that Merc is looking real fast and we shall see if that holds up in Qualifying.

Different approaches to P2, dirty track early, better track later which assisted MB. But Alonso was out at same time as Hamilton. Ferrari early.

Max set his time on mediums while reading a novel.

FP3 is under way and Verstappen is laying down the fast laps. Hamilton is back in 16th and us not looking very racey today.

I watched P3 today too. He finished up 1.9 sec behind in 10th?

Yes, Hamilton was listed as high as 8th but finished in 10th. We shall see what he does in Qualifying.

Looks like Qualifying is battling the rain.

Given who was ahead, I'd expect him to be higher than 10th in quali.

He had one good run going that got aborted by a red flag.
