Wow! Verstappen sandbagged practice and now he takes the pole from Hamilton just under 4/10 of a second. Here we go with Verstappen going to drive Hamilton wide if Hamilton gets anywhere close to passing Verstappen during the race.

Starting on softs is not desirable. So we shall see. Norris has said he doesn't want to get in the way.

The game is afoot!

Feels like that was the last F1 race I am ever going to watch.

The guy whose only job is to enforce the regulations did not follow the regulations. The race should have ended under safety car.

Sainz was denied a chance to attack Verstappen by the same selective enforcement of rules and damn near lost his podium.

There is going to be drama on this, but I think it’s the racing finish we all deserved. That championship ending under yellow to get some back-markers who have no impact on the race out of the way would have been a much more significant botch-job.

Well there was one instance where Verstappen and Hamilton almost got together and then Verstappen was gone to win his first Championship. The Championship had some safety car controversy but the stewards apparently did nothing or found no reason to do anything. Hamilton couldn't match the RB Honda and took second. Sainz was third followed by Tsunda. Hamilton will have to wait until next season to try and get his 8th championship. He'll have a new teammate as Bottas, who finished 6th moves on.

Congrats to everyone for playing this year. Honorable mention goes to the two newbies for their tenacity and perseverance to finish second and third. Both ckhokie and especially Schmoopy are formidable competitors. Schmoopy came in late and finished a robust third. WELL DONE!!

When IndyAndy (who passed away several years ago) and myself started this competition back about 8 years ago, he took home the first three titles. It has taken me four years to get Number 5 championship. This was another fun year and I hope everyone returns for next season.

Some changes that may or may not occur: One, is I am going to work on obtaining a sponsor to try to get a monetary compensation system in place for the finishing order at the end of next season. I have some work to do between now and March of 2022 but check back to this site for updates. I am also open to any suggestions for changes as well.

Oh man, I had no idea he had passed. RIP Andy. One of the best posters around.

I didn't either 43, until I looked his name up on the web and I believed he was killed in an auto accident about 5 years ago. He and I would usually post most of the year as he was from Indianapolis and had been to that track often. One day he didn't post for about a month or so and that is when I started doing some research and discovered what had occurred. Pretty sad.
